Ese'ese got $465k, how much is Blair going to want?
Somewhere between $500k-$600k would be my guess.
If Ese'ese got 465k Guerra 525k and u put Blair at say 525k... how are we shaping our roster on good value signings looking?
If i was Dan Saifiti id be wanting 550k please and Jacob 400k
Thats 2.5 mil in our middle forward rotation far out.
U add Sione, Watson, Ponga and u could make claims to 4mil in 8 players.
Hopefully the other 25 players are on pies and coke.... CANS
As long as you get the right players in that group, that's probably how it should be. Tie the big money up in one core group of important positions & the rest are cheap guys that are easily replaceable. Browny seems to be a tightarse when it comes to guys like Pete & while it's not good for the individual player, probably best for the club as a whole. Of course if our core group of players turn out to be shyte like they have been for many years then it all looks silly.
Lots of money for small number of players, not much left for other 25plus players. And what happens if the "Newcastle Curse" happens and 3-4 of said 8 get long term injuries and quality of replacements is down due to no money. Better buying good players to fill roster without overspending
Think he'll be looking north of that.
If that's the case no way should we be interested in him. He's not worth that.
Strong mail his gonna be at the warriors... we wont be signing him.
That rings true Josh2010. He already has the hair style to suit.
Gonna wear those high heels duriing next year's lawn mowing marathon 88? Can we please have a pic?
Grant to Panthers and Latu to us please!!!!
Saifitis, Ese'ese, Latu, King .. Its young but my god it's promising
I like Pete but he isn't a rep player of any kind he cant expect big money and he wont get it anywhere and imo if we can play SKD and Moga in the centre's its time for Pete to move on ...I have read again lately that Latu wants out no matter what he and the club are saying publicly and his form did drop off I bit this season but that happens when your playing somewhere you don't want to be .
They have also said we are still a chance of getting him .
Although Blair wasn't great at the Tigers he has been bloody good at the Bronco's and would be what we need here..... Blair and Latu or Graham and Latu would give us a great pack with the Twins and Ese,ese and King is getting better every game also...
Whilst I am not Pete's biggest fan, we do need reggies players and his experience would blend with some of the young guys coming through. Would keep him at $125K per season.
At that price I would keep him too but I doubt he would stay for that .
He wants more than what we're offering.
That is too much, some of the figures being quoted don't make sense.
Esse $465 , what has he done ?
Ponga $ 1m , what has he done ?
Must include relocation costs and packaging for the whole family.
More than likely more to these figures than are being released to the punters.
Who has said Ponga is getting $1m a year?
Are these the figures given by the Courier Mail? If so they can be taken with a grain of salt. They were so butthurt about losing Ponga that they were just making up figures, it might be the same with EseEse.
I won't believe it until I see it, cause Gus is a bit like Wayne in that he doesnt lose many he wants to keep. However if we get Latu and Blair we're looking very likely to be top 8 next year:
3. P Mata'utia
8. D Saifiti
11. S Mata'utia
17. J Saifiti
People trust Barry Toohey right? He was saying Ese'ese's deal starting with a 4.
I don't think anyone reported Ponga on $1m a year.
@88Knight4life is adamant his on a 6 billion lifetime deal lol.
