Lahmert and McArthur haven't looked out of place in the slightest and really like that Jefferies has given them big minutes in opening games. They've done so well both of them. The unfortunate issue with Giampino is her fitness levels and she looks terrible in D after 5mins.

I hope the plan with Shipton coming next season is to play her as a 13, she's not overly big but can obviously defend solid and played 13 in lower grades reguarly.

You can't move Lahmert, she'll only get better and better each week and Elers whilst 17/18 years of age is just as good if not better than Lahmert. Lahmert/Elers rotation in two years will be so damn good its not funny.

Same with forwards, Pasikala has been a great get, she's fitter than I expected and more lateral in defence as well. So her and Yeo as signings over last couple years has been very smart. But I'd be focusing on bringing through Lacey Cross (middle/edge) Mia Jones(middle) Stella Lewis(edge) Rubie-Drake(lock/hooker) and Summer Dowell(edge/centre). All of have the ability and fitness to replace some players when contracts up like Predabon, Romaniuk.
I'm a big fan of Kirkpatrick but she needs to work on her defence and line running, she'll get lapped by Lewis, Summer before she knows it. I think 13 is better suited for her, also playing 9 for a season wouldn't have helped.

It's crazy that reserve grade are hardly missing Lahmert.
Both games they have started with Joeli Morris at hooker and looked OK, but then they bring Elers on and she goes just as good as Lahmert has gone all season.
Elers is also a tall and athletically built girl, so could potentially play a few other roles.
 
Honestly cant understand why Lahmert wasn’t used earlier in the season instead of having Bo playing 14
 
Watched the game again and the thing about Lahmert playing so well and for such long minutes is that it frees up Higgins to play a lot of time at lock. Higgins instantly becomes our best forward with her mobility in defence and strong defence, footwork in attack, passing game etc.
Our forward pack has been understrength since Meakes was injured, but 40 minutes of Higgins at lock sure makes it look better.
Finau also had her best game of the season in her natural position of left second row.
