With Trbojevic out we should definitely win this one. So I’ll be pretty interested in seeing how we manage to lose it.

Can we fit Joey in our 30?
We could call on him in the final 15 minutes to get us home.

In all honesty it has to be 1-17
Id like Guerra starting and Sione on the bench though.
King holds his spot until Ese gets back on the horse.

Need a big game from Pearce, some very strong leadership and getting the team to do as he advises them to do.

Have to get our season going from here.

Brown needs to get all Bellamy on them, fire and brimstone chit and send em out scared to come back in losers.

    Win this one comfortably.

Team wise might see Moga make a comeback this game? He we alright in lower grade game today. Or another week in reggies? Might see Brown bring him back in to try to spark something.

Bring Herman back, King did ok today but we need herm back.

Moga needs to be showing his way above cup to even be considered for removing Hunt.

Ese isnt even being competitive in cup atm, id love to havr him at 10 and go out with the intent to hold that spot, it just seems way out of his mind atm so his not coming into the 17.

Got to go with best and fittest, 5/8 a problem but Watson if fit Lino showed nothing, Hunt did nothing wrong so Moga has to play strong in reserves, Ese’ese has to be in 17 if not 13, Guerra has to start, Sione to bench with choice between him and Barnett. Dan to start with Klemmer in front row with Levi, Glasby to 13. Bench Ese’ese, Gavit, Mann and Sione/Barnett.

I thought Lino did ok with the limited prep he has had. Looked much more like a 6 then anyone else thus far.

Meh, half the time I read on here these top players when put down to Reggies just trot along doing enough till the coach brings em back. Coach knows what they can do after all.

I thought Lino was ok in the first half before the whole team lost their way in the second.
Hunts done nought wrong but Moga threw last pass for a try and scored one himself. Spose it's up to Eddie and Hunt to maintain their form, Hunt could could go to wing if Eddie gets inconsistent.
Brown's got a few conundrums on his hands with what to do with Watson/Mann and the backrow. Throw in Jake(if he come back strongly) and Herm. Not sure Brown's getting it quite right at the moment

    I'd go,
    1.Ponga
    2.Lee
3.Hunt (Moga nipping at his heals)
    4.Ramien
    5.SKD
6.Lino (I think he will go good after more prep, good to have a ledgit half)
7.Pearce (needs to own the team)
    8.Klem
    9.Levi
    10.Dan
    11.Fitz
    12.Guerra (fix edge deffence)
    13.Glasby
14.Watson (Buhrer if Watson not fit)
    15.Gavet
    16.Barnett
    17.Ese
We need 3 props on the bench, we lacked go forward big time yesterday.
I'm not a fan of Mann so far.

Agree Dan getting Ramien outside Ponga is a very wise move andf strengthens that side's defence.

    Sione out (disgraceful in defense)
    Guerra starting 2rf
King out (45 minutes 3 runs for 19 meters is absolutely pathetic)

    I dont Care whos in

Nrl app says King made 59m, 28 tackles 1 missed.
I thought he did a good job for his standards.
But I'd still rather have Ese.

Not that confident TBH Cherry Evans is sh!!!t hot and their forwards are fired up.

Worse replacements than Elliot as well.

I kept a close eye on the performance, was better than last week.

Put down for 3 missed tackles two ineffective. Twice was pushed off by their Fijian winger one on one and dropped off vaughn when he copped the injury. Not sure about the ineffectives but James Graham beat him with some late footwork at the line too. (Not a "gidley miss" to be seen). And obviously caught in no man's land with the break on half time.

More concerning is the work with the ball. 3 runs for 19 metres, 4 post contact. King would get murdered for numbers like that. Problem is he's not doing anything to make defences have to think, runs straight at the line and gets stopped dead. If you watch Fitz he's putting on footwork, changing angles or using a spin move to get between defenders.

Moot points though, if he didn't get dropped after last week he certainly won't this week.

Highlights of the reserve grade game this week.
3 tries in there you can pretty much put down to good play by Moga.
Highlights give you a very distorted view of an overall game, but the fact that he passed to his winger for 2 of the tries when he could have gone himself and maybe scored is something we didn't see from him last year.
On the negative side, two tries by Saints looked to come after very poor reads by Moga.
