Random question - Why do all the media articles and people in NRL in general refer to the top 8 as 'semi-finals'. Isn't the semi-finals the second week?

Tigers could go ahead on F/A, that is if they beat the Dogs ;) so I think we're fairly safe if we win.

Tigers cant make it no matter what happens, because even if we lose tonight, then next week we got a match against the Panthers where one of us goes to the finals. Tigers are out of finals contention.
