If OB wants Hoy at 6 for the rest of this year then Randall needs to be 9 and Mann 14. Looking forward next year there may be one change where Brailey comes in for Randall. I think Lino will forever be the “what if” player. What if Lino had a full season at 5/8 or half back. I think he’s FG quality.

Randall topped the tackle count, topped the fantasy points, 1 line break, 2 line break assists, 2 try assists - made 34 tackles at 100% efficiency.
Will be dropped next week.

For whatever reason, O'Brien doesn't seem to want to play Randall - the only specialist hooker we have left in the squad.

Chris must have nude photos of Adam's wife or something, because every time he's stepped in and done a fantastic job.

Let Lino keep the 6, let Randall keep the 9, capitalise on Mann's versatility and run with him at 14. He's big enough and runs hard enough to come on and play the exact same role as Connor did early in the season, getting on against tired legs and running the ball which is Kurt's biggest asset.

IMO next week with Lee and hopefully Best back in, Shibs and Toa don't have a spot in our side and Mann comes back to play off the bench.
Pearce was a passenger in a game pretty much dictated by Ponga, and I seriously think we need to invest in our halves going forward.

Im not sure Pearce would do any better as a bench Hooker. Hard to judge a young halfback based on a bench Hooker role.

So I went to the game...... Our first half was great, Pearce seemed to be doing a lot more directing and not actually touching the ball. We went left to lino a lot more early with Pearce chiming in. Ponga looked to be playing 6 every attacking raid and was getting wacked by both second rowers. He can't keep that up......it'll hurt a lot more.

Randall was giving awesome service, we went to water when he went off and Crossland came on. The side defence of lino, tuala and star don't talk very well, they bunch way to quickly. Hope Fitzy is ok, he went off limping. Overall great result but 2nd half needs a little tweak defensively.

Next week is a must win to keep the confidence flowing into finals.

Solid performance. The middles were great after being dominated last week. The twins were fantastic.

Attack looked slick but it’s hard to judge considering how **** St George are.

Was really impressed with Randall. Sharp service, strong defensively and ran at the right times. He needs to start for the rest of the year with Mann coming off the bench.

I can’t take Randall out of the team after today. That first try was excellent ‘eyes up’ footy- plus his passing game was great. The saints were awful but surely you have to give him a shot off that.
On a side note, I don’t know about the rest of you but I loved the crowds reaction to seeing the chief on the big screen[emoji24][emoji24]. I can only imagine he had a great afternoon, particularly getting to watch with pride as the safs genuinely killed it...

Was a great moment. I recall a few years back when the 2001 team did a parade lap and the Newcastle chant broke out around the Johns stand. One of my favourite Knights moments.

Lino isn't what we need at 5/8, but geez it would be good to have his goal kicking.
