A pleasing aspect for me was they went the distance. When Manly scored I thought "here we go" but to the team's credit they kept giving it to Manly right up until the bell.

I went to the game thinking we were up for our usual manly flogging, but knights pleasantly surprised me and I was so glad to be wrong. Our defence was great, at one stage I think they had 3 back to back sets on our line and we just kept holding them out.
Let's hope we have some consistency now and keep the form up!

That last set when Manly were up in the 20 with a full set, we kept them out. That was really promising. They kept at it. They ALWAYS let a last mintue try in when they've got the game in the bag, always! They made sure that didn't happen this time. :D

Exactly. With a bit over a minute to go Boyd held T Rex up over the line with the help of a couple of others. Also they were looking for points right to the death.

I don't get the rochow love on here if Costigan played like that you'd be getting up him for having a quiet one

Speaking of flick passes, how about all the flicks by Boyd, Tahu & Gagai this season? We seem to be the only team in the comp doing it & it's working for us!

No, I'm proving it to the everyone that bagged out Tyrone & Wayne earlier saying we should drop him constantly & Wayne was blind for not doing so. Now we know he knew what he was doing, he knew Roberts was underperforming, but he had faith in him to get used to FG.

That was the best thing, after a win I always walk home from the stadium a little disappointed coz we let in a soft last try. It was like old times when we didn't & Uate was the one breaking through to get a great try.

If Rochow plays SOG and is in a premiership winning side and then performs moderately we'll let him know as well.

No comment by anyone on Cuthbertson's game. I know there's a mistake in him as there is in all players but I don't reckon he's been too bad and was very good last night.

This was grinding victory in my opinion. I have only seen it live so far though, but at the game it really felt like a hard grinding game. And when you score 32 points to 6 in a grinding game you know you've done well.

Granted we had a few ugly wins early in the season, but that five match losing streak aside, we have hardly been terrible this year.

If we don't make it, then that will be what ends up costing us.

    Well said in both sentances.
Cuthbertson has had a pretty decent month and has really stepped up to the mark with Snowden gone.

Yeah I also found myself saying how well Cuthbertson was playing last night. I thought Rochow had a hell of a game whilst he was on there, made a load of tackles, and every time he ran he never got rolled onto his back so he got quick play the balls. He looks the goods in FG, as he did in the lower grades from what I saw.

Cuthbertson has been playing well for a few weeks now, continues to get better, much like Boyd.
