The Warriors are only where they are because they've literally beaten the bottom teams and the Titans twice who they always beat. I'd say they are there with the Dogs and Titans for worst teams.

The fact that despite all the outs we had came within one last play of beating them is an understatement to how truly bad they are. And that was with 40% possession and half the penalties. Likewise with the panthers game the week before.

The dogs have at least looked okay at times like beating the sharks and tigers and coming close to beating the storm. They have their bad games where they are outclassed but they have a dig

Maybe it's not about how bad they are but we had a crack.

The Warriors also beat the Dogs 40-6 this year

We should beat the dogs. Even scraping a win would be great. And then rest up, train hard and rip into Roosters. Should be full strength minus Fitz??? And hopefully Guerra is up to speed then and Jacob has cemented a spot?!? Can’t wait for that game! Road to the finals starts at the SCG!!

I’m trying to get my head around players not backing up and who we have, yes the old worst case scenario.
More chance of injuries to forwards so more unlikely to back up, Pearce might slip through ok but if we/he wins will he celebrate too much. Only likely backup is Glasby, Klem and Dan if half fit would be welcome. Two points against Dogs is more likely than Roosters especially if we get a mix of top players on the field.
1 Ponga is out so next best is Watson
2 -5 SKD, Ramien, Sione, Hunt
    6 Mann 7 Lino
    8 - 13 JSaf, Levi, Ese’ese (King) Guerra, Jones, Glasby (Ese’ese)
    14 Buhrer, 15 Crossland, 16 Gavet, 17 King/Saulo
If Pearce plays Mann to centre, Sione to bench Crossland out
If Klem and Dan available put any other 11+4 in and done

Thoughts on whether JSaf can maintain a top 17 spot with a fully fit squad of forwards? Would be interesting to see what Browns ideal team would be.

On his best form ever he can, but not on his form so far this year. He needs to up his game to where he apparently was in the early pre-season.

Thought Glasby 18th man for Qld and might not play so fit to go where both Klem and DSaf would play.

On a positive, if our Origin stars don’t back up we will have Ponga, Pearce, Klemmer, DSaf, Glasby and Barnett all back for our match against the Roosters which will be another massive game. Really can’t afford to be complacent and start our second halves the way we have the last two weeks against the Dogs.

Pearce had a hard game, but the forwards should all be right to back up for sure.

He’ll back up. Two points to much to risk. Back up and then rest up good and proper. Maybe even get him off after 60 if we’re looking ok.

i watched that "team talk live" on facebook on tuesday. worth a watch if you havnt seen it. a question was asked as to why our origin reps were named outside the 17, yet pearce was named in the 7 jersey. the response (by canavan i think it was) was that mitchell has made it very clear he will be backing up and as captain he has earnt the right to make that call.
so barring injury i expect all to back up. klems backed up everytime throughout his career bar origin 1 due to injury and glas and dsaf should be right to go considering they played limited minutes.

If Pearce, Saifiti and Glasby back up as expected I have no issues with giving Klemmer the night off I think those three should be more then enough to win on Friday

I'd expect Dan and Glasby to definately back up, and 50 / 50 on Pearce and Klemmer.

Must win this match or all our good work is undone if you ask me.

How many times in years past and even this year - Titans anyone, have we supposed to have won games and won them well only to cop a spanking.

Play the best players that are fit for mine.

8 day recovery between this and the next game as well, give Pearce and Klemmer after friday 4 days off come back to training Wednesday. Plenty of recovery time(including time to have a decent p!ssup as well.)
