2 days after Origin going to be a tough ask for the rep players to back up.

If only we did a better job at the start of the season and won half our games we wouldn't have so much pressure on this one.

I'm confident the team that played last night can beat the Dogs if we rest all our Origin players.
I'd go 1.Mann, 6.Watson though. Watson defends better in the line and Mann is safer at the back.
And Jacob to start over King.
Saulo to play atleast 20mins not 9.
Moga didn't do much to get selected.
Assuming Ponga and Origin players are out I'd go,

    1.Mann
    2.Hunt
    3.Sione
    4.Ramien
    5.SKD
    6.Watson
    7.Lino
    8.Jacob
    9.Levi
    10.Gavet
    11.Fitz
    12.Buhrer
    13.Ese

    14.Crossland
    15.King
    16.Saulo
    17.Guerra
If Barnett is back he comes in for Buhrer.

We will win the penalty count on this one. Dogs no chance of finals so the NRL has no Agenda to keep them in contention like the Warriors. It’s just a disgrace I wish they’d stick their whistle up their *** and let the best team win.

If Jamie Buhrer isnt playing hooker, then i think he shouldnt be out there. Think he too small playing in the pack not much impact.

Pearce will back up if he comes through Origin unscathed I think. Guy has talked about how his focus is on the Knights and it’s not as if he is a forward who has made 30-40 tackles and 10 or so hit ups.

Interesting talking of backing up from SOO, what is the team nomination cut off, normally named Tues day before origin.
If name Pearce, Klem, DanS and Glasby in squad it uses up your extended bench so if all cant play, sore or injured, you are back to just 17 and then Ponga named but unable to play we have a problem.

Exemptions due to SOO can be used.
Just like this week with players leaving the Squad due to SOO.

I'd be naming our best 17 as if SOO wasnt a factor.
Then if injury or resting of players is needed? Bring some in.

I reckon lino deserves a shot at 5/8 long term. He's up to it defensively and offers plenty more than the makeshift options. Plus he's a gun goal kicker.

I'd go with 88's suggestion and name strongest possible side (including SOO players) and sub in players if needed. Assuming our SOO players can't play though, I'd go with the same 1-17 as last night to be honest.

Didn’t see anyone standing up in reserves to take place of any in 17, possibly positional changes such as JSaf in with Gavet to bench, Guerra in for Buhrer and better use of bench.

    Centurion and knightime like this.

How we get the best out of Herman is the big question that came out of yesterdays game I think.
He was our best middle last year and our best middle in this game when the big names weren't available.
He clearly thrives when given the responsibility of leading the forwards and plays very well.
We need to find a way to get him to step up to the level he is clearly capable of when all our "pack leaders" are playing.
I think Glasby will deliver the same sort of effort if he is starting or off the bench, so I'd start Herman at lock with instructions to call for the ball and push Klem aside if he feels like ripping in.

Toohey said on Twitter once Pearce returns the halves will be,
    Lino 6
    Pearce 7
    Mann 3
I assume Hunt will stay on the wing.
If Ponga is fullback I guess that means Watson to 14?

So he should, they're being paid a yearly salary by us and added bonuses from the club for playing SOO.
Our season is dependent on a few good wins.
I said after the previous dogs game that we need to be on 18pts or more by rd 18 to have a chance at a top 4 finish otherwise we're fighting for a top 8 spot.

I would start klem, safiti and esse esse and blow them away the first 20 with Jacob, gavet and glasby on the bench.

Klemmer and Gavet too back up their fully fit, be pushing it for Pearce and Klemmer for mine.

Brown will have his eye on Roosters week after as well.
