Well that sucked but we’ll take a lot out of that game. Back to the drawing board to smash the donkeys at home

The refs had a meeting before the game and decided the way to stop the game turning into a really agro affair like our last few games was to keep a really strict 10 metres and blow the whistle at the first sign of agro.
    It killed our momentum.
Our only real hope was to get stuck into them like we did against Souths and the Roosters, and the refs were having none of that.

We can’t get too pissed about loosing to the top of the ladder. Also good reminder that our good needs improvement to challenge for a title. I think we take more lessons from this game into September

Why pick Saulo and play him for FA minutes ? I'm certain they loose track of what's going on with the bench.

Pretty poor game. Storm were allowed to slow us down, and we had no idea what to do from there.
Wasn't expecting a win, but a bit more ball control would of been nice, a lot of sloppy errors.
Didn't think any of our called forward passes were forward though.

I'm well and truly in Corona Street so my judgement could be clouded. I thought the referee got in Ponga's way when he turned to chase a kick that resulted in a Storm try. The Storm worked our players' head and neck over in just about every tackle and got away with it. Ramien confirmed that he's our most disappointing signing this year(imo). Finally I've never really disliked Cameron Smith but after today I've come to the conclusion he's a sh*t c**t.

    Yep, I thought the same.

Although with my tin hat, it wasn't about keeping the agro out. I was thinking that the powers that be decided that the best way to blunt us was to not allow us to be aggressive with line speed and running and instead play a stop-start type of game.

Also for Brown to say he was happy with our first half is proof he'd got a drug problem.

In fairness I think we all would have been happy being 12 points down and the half with the amount of ball we have them.

I thought it was great only being 12 down but we were ordinary. The Storm were clunky as well in the first half otherwise the score could've been anything. We were never in it the wrong team got off the bus.

    Agree 100%
Both teams were off but we had an absolute shocker. Dust it off and move on.

Barnett will be gone for 3 weeks I reckon. Guerra straight in? Or Sione to back row and Guerra on the bench?

I hate the FOX commentators. Barnett was entitled to finish that tackle off it wasn't complete. Little bit grubby how it turned out but I hope he don't stop being aggressive. We're a no pussy zone nowadays.

I think the refs were thinking the on ground officials lost control of our last game and they didn't want it to happen again, and being refs, blowing the whistle is their answer to most things.

One positive moving forward is that we have the broncos next week.

The non long minutes for Saulo puts pressure on others having to play long minutes, Glasby obviously had an injury, Gavet was ordinary, Buhrer isn’t the player he used to be. Ese’ese and Sione were good of bench. While Klem is out let’s play whoever, JSaf, King, Saulo as his direct replacement and leave Ese’ese and Gavet on bench.
Watson was all effort but had mistakes in him. Pearce was targeted by rushing at him and Mann was unable to assist. Hunt was good except for bombed try. Barnett was strong but dumb, aggression is good but needs to be used to advantage, we will lose him for a bit. Best, Watson for effort and Ese’ese and Sione strong of bench.

Broncos week after next week. No nrl next week.

Agree on Saulo, if your going to pick him, give him decent minutes.

I've never thought Brown has had a good handle on the bench.
