[h=1]Rabbit punch: Unwanted Everingham takes aim at Newcastle[/h]
his playing ok, still makes rookie errors but I can see how the media is making this story into more than it really is
Wouldn't swap anyone in our backline for him anyway.
I don't understand why they moved him to the centre, he was a decent winger. Completely bombed a try against the Broncos that probably would of fired them up early on.
Always been average and overrated. Look at his tries at the start of his career that got him all the attention. They were all pretty straight forward. There is a reason he took so long to debut.
He's a decent & safe player, obviously wasn't as talented when younger so you can't blame the Knights for not picking him up. Just the Herald trying to start something.
Buzz will probably find a way to link this to Brian Smith not wanting him no doubt.
He's only been round what, ten rounds?
One try he scored off a bomb was pretty amazing.
He cracked 100m for the first time last week against a NSW cup standard Panthers side. His 13th game in the NRL. Aku has made less than 90m in one game, despite having a below average year.
He doesnt break many tackles.
Even his try scoring has gone down, with only 2 tries in his last 8 games, despite the Rabbitohs scoring the most points/game in the NRL over their last 10 games (Averaging over 4 tries a game). Has he even scored a 10m+ try this year?
I liken him to Jordan Atkins. Said the same thing in round 5, and I stand by my comments now. He scored a pretty amazing try too.
I'd take Aku, McManus, Mata'Utai and K.Naiqama over him anyday of the week.
The only above average part of his game is his defence IMO.
I'm not saying he's the next immortal, but he's ok for a guy in his debut year. He's obviously no match for Uate.
Has Uate even scored a 10 metre try this year? lol
He made a good linebreak against the Broncos, had 3 guys on his inside and tried to step Hoffman instead of just passing, and completely bombed it. but that try would of been from inside bunnies half
Wouldn't even be in our NSW reserve side, possibly.
When he didn't get a gig after trying twice he should have joined with the Maggots. Their juniors seem to get a head start.
That nobody just signed his death wish
I can't be against that, he's my cousin
Everingham is one of the great Australian and Hunter Valley names.First Fleet convict Mathew Everingham farmed at the Hawkesbury River, but many of his children were amongst the first settlers in the Hunter in the 1820s.Mathew Everingham is supposed to be the most prolific of the first fleet convicts, with about 6,000 decendents in 12 generations.
Jekk, you've just outed yourself as a big convict!!!
To be fair everybody who's had lineage to the early days of Australia is a convict.
He was so framed!
And yes I'm a descendant of Matthew Everingham.
He would only take aim at the Knights if he really still wanted to be here , otherwise he would be saying thanks for moving me on as i now have a 1st grade spot elsewhere ........Look i made it ....but i wish i was there .....
