Most likely not...
No point getting rid of one and not getting rid the other.
If you dont mind me asking, why are we getting rid of the post counts anyway?
I can't bloody work out how to get rid of that bit, but it's going too haha.
Coz lots of ... shall we say the younger brigade ... post absolute rubbish to up their post count.
Very true, with all those crazy topics that get started sometimes. tbh I never really took note of the post count.
I used to be obsessed myself... so know what they're going through.
But yep that's the main reason pretty much.
Nice little experiement to see how it affects the number ridiculous posts.
I'm sure KRN7 will still have his weekly weather/crowds/entertainment/"I got drunk and gambled away my money" threads though.
I'm sort of glad the post count is gone TBH. When it was there, it didn't really seem a neccesity to have, but on the downside we won't have as many milestones to celebrate.
I'm glad it's gone. Some people just start to make random posts (I know I used to do this e.g. I just wrote "AWTA" sometimes.) and it's really annoying.
I too was obsessed with getting my count up but I haven't even got 1000 posts yet.
Im much happier to be a passenger on th MS express.
I'm surprised to read that Levil, you do make quality posts.
I was when i first signed up last year, but i eventually sort of got over it.
Though, i was pretty stoked when i got to the 1000 mark
I have barely noticed my post count TBH, I don't see why people would get obsessed with getting it up.
thank lord baby jesus christ ppl went crazy wid dere posts
Having the post count there just gave people more reason to post ridiculous things that add nothing to a conversation.
Haven't looked at it since I got to one thousand i think but looking back when you see somepeople with AK, KN7 etc with huge post counts am I the only one to look at it and think whoa, that's a lot of posts ? Especially with some of the quality posts the members on here are capable of posting ice been on forums that have users with 40,000 posts but only 40,000 words used in those posts combined.
Still can see post counts on another pager(other than peoples profiles).
But it's a step in the right direction.
Yes, I'm working on getting rid of these. As I mentioned earlier, the instructions I had for getting rid of them on the member page didn't work.
It hasn't stopped the idiotic posts though, I don't think anything will.
Set up a warn level system?
That would be a good idea IMO, it will cut a lot of the crap out of some of the posts.
Separate names with a comma.
