Not when you conveniently enter said rehab facility 1 week prior to your court date. He was charged 4 months ago, why was he not in rehab before?

Most people go into rehab just before court - courts love it because it is what they would have ordered themselves if they could find a facility to take them - but since they can't find facilities, they usually have to settle for community treatment orders or worse.

I don't know what is unacceptable about being in a treatment facility.
I've seen that used about a 100 times and it was always not only acceptable, but usually praised.
It must be because it's overseas I suppose.

The fact that you have a court appearance and did not receive permission.
