    He was a blow in.

    No knight of knights imo.

    Good prop in his prime.

He was great for Melbourne and in his 1st year or so for us. Turned into a bit of a plodder after that and never seen a prop get belted so often lol. Always had a go, though.

I still reckon Craig Smith was probably our most underrated signing. Great leader and seemed to get better with age. Top bloke, too.

Cross shouldn't have been allowed to play half the games he played.
He wanted to get on the field to earn another contract, but time after time he came back too early from concussion and it just took a little knock to the head and he was in Disneyland again.
If he'd taken 2 or 3 weeks off after the first concussion he would have been able to play out the year.

He is coaching South Newcastle in the real NRL this year, and also NSW womens side, after being an assistant coach for NYC for the last few years.

He was a real old school no nonsense prop i liked him, Shame about the head knocks but when he was playing for NSW he was really good, Same with Big dan tolar i played really well for a couple of seasons but when he hurt his knee against the titans he really struggled then which is a shame because he could've been anything

Dan Tolar could have been anything?

What you mean? Like, could have been a garbo or an aeronautical engineer? Because I know you ain't referring to his footballing potential

he was a good no frills prop he wasn't about to play for nsw but he was a solid first grade prop and to be honest if dan tolar was around now and 10 years younger he would walk into our current team

Tolar didn't get a game of firstgrade till he was 23, which is older than most of our current firstgrade forwards are now.

Dan Tolar was a very limited football player and after his knee injury he slowed up a lot over the back half of his career. I did like his offload he used to do early in his career, but for some reason he stopped doing doing it. When we had Tolar and Kaufusi in the 8 and 10 jersey, we lacked a lot of punch up front.

The mere mention of Tolar perfectly illustrates the acceptance of mediocrity thats crept into the club and the fans.

The bloke was a dead set plodder.

If he was at the Bulldogs, Roosters, Manly, Broncos etc ( any successful club with high standards ) etc only die hard fans that follow NSW cup would know his name.
