About 20m of those came from one half break he made too.

Still happily take Merrin if the money is right.

Its funny how some would take Merrin yet some think Yates is to small.

    Profiles say
    Merrin 5'11 103kg
    Yates 5'10 94kg

Id bet Yates is closer to 100kg.
That profile of Yates hasnt changed in 2yrs

Yates played good footy I have to say , although im one of the ones that think he lacks size I would still re-sign him .

I’d love to see Yates become more of a hooker utility. If Griffin is out injured, Yates starting and Levi hooker rotation could be decent. It’d have to be either him or Buhrer though you’d think. But Yates can tackle, goes hard and gives us more hooker depth.

Yates has been starting hooker in 3 of his last 4 games of reserve grade.
I only saw the first 1 where he played less than 10 minutes at hooker and we seemed to defend for most of it, so I really didn't get a chance to see how he went.
His last game he played the first 21 minutes at hooker against the Warriors and stayed on the field till the 65th minute, so he put in a good spell.
If he is even halfway decent at dummy half he could be our number 14 I think - or even starting hooker so Levi can come on after 15 or 20 and play strongly for the rest of the game.
It's just a matter of if Yates can do a decent job of dummy half, which isn't easy.

5'10" is what Yates has on his tinder profile - he was standing on a brick for the photo.

Slade Griffin also 5'10" and 94kg.
They are very hard for me to tell apart from the sidelines.
My eyes aren't good enough to make out features, and they actually look a bit alike anyway.

Holmes is not really considering any other options other then the cowboys. Word is he is likely to reject a five year offer from the sharks to sign with them

Has Cooper ever been involved in the Knights lower grades here before, or has it only been Manly and Storm?

Is so weird hearing johns names again. To be fair I've watched both and Cooper plays more like Andrew and Jack is more like his father's playing style. Would be pretty cool to get both of them to newcastle.

I think it would bring a tear to most Knights fans' eyes if we had Johns & Johns in the halves.

The more I watch of Jack the more and more I think he will end up being a back rower who can ball play a bit.
