Mathews and Ball 2024

From what I seen yesterday both the SG Ball 13s (Hilliar & Latu) were the pick of the middles. Both do exceptional work off the footy. The 4 for the knights De Courcey is a NRL player for sure

Noice. Fair effort to overcome Dragons. I see Whaiapu got his first start this season and prob first time I've noticed him in highlights. Big boy for an 18 yr old. Great final try to win it considering it was in final few minutes

Jermaine McKewn is back for Ball, but no Malachi Smith or Jye Linnane still.

White and Jones and McKewn are all in Gale.

For some reason Matts, Ball and the girls games have all been moved from Cessnock to Kurri, but Johns and Daley are still at Cessnock.

They are still saying all 6 games will be on NSWRLTV for those who pay, but I can't see them setting up cameras at Cessnock and Kurri.

I don't see either McEwen in SG or Gale? say's they're out.

Alsosay's half of Hmatts are out so seems like a bit of a mess up on there?

Not sure the situation with Malachi Smith. He will have missed 3 games now. Jye Linnane will unlikely be back this year as he has done his ACL.

Even though the Ball side have won 3 from 4 we are missing the running game of Linnane and the distribution from dummy half from Smith.

Knights up 10-6 in Harold Matts a few minutes into the second half, but the game has been paused for about 10 minutes due to lightning. Players seem to be warming up again now.

Knights win 16-6. Bludger of a game. I'd be surprised if the Knights completion rate was above 50% and Manly's wasn't much better either.

I left just before halftime. The clouds looked like Kurri was about to be washed away.

The girls in LF cup had their first win.
It was an odd game. The Manly players were much bigger and our girls were clearly very experienced touch players. They kept running at defenders, submitting in tackles and playing the ball really fast and the next girl would scoot away.
I have no idea why the massive Manly players were letting them get away with just submitting and playing the ball with hardly a hand on them, but we carved them up.

24-all draw in Tarsha Gale Cup. Another sloppy game but some good moments from White, Jones, McEwen in particular. White doesn't look far off NRLW level at all.

De Courcey just put on one of the biggest hits I've ever seen on Manly's fullback off a kick catch, Votano picks it up and strolls over. 12-0, 5 minutes in.

Try to Cannavo, 18-0 after 9 minutes. Hopwood, Whaiapu & Hilliar just strolling through the middle and the halves having a field day on the back of it.

It's horrid conditions at the ground - gusty winds coming from different directions every minute and clouds hanging over the ground like a biblical catastrophe is about to happen any second, with lightning off in distance and massive rain drops every now and then.
