Marmin Barba

Aidos

Andrew 'Joey' Johns
I've heard we've signed him for next year. He's Ben's younger brother.

Out of all the Barba brothers, apparently he is the most talented. Good buy imo

that's really good news he'll be with us for 2011 after he was diagnosed with cancer in this groin last season!!!!

Where did you hear we signed him? If so this will be awesome, what position does he play?

Looks like it's either us, or Parra now. He's just updated his FB saying he's in 2 minds

Bit weird, because he said he already signed with Newcastle

Ive seen this kid play, he's really good. I'm really excited if we've signed him. He's bloody good! :dancing:

You've seen him play where exactly? I've heard of him but only through his brother. It means absolutely nothing. He scored that try in Matts or SG Ball... through terrible defence.

I have seen much better individual efforts... should we be signing them up too?

Nothing to get excited about... the Bulldogs have made Ben Barba who he is today.

Were getting a younger sibling who might not even be as good at NRL level.

Like AK said, there isn't any reason to be to excited. He's only played a little bit of SG Ball, it's not like he's playing in a harder combination like the Toyota Cup or NSW Cup. So there is nothing to say he's going to be superstar or anything yet. And if he does come, he won't be playing First Grade for quite a while, if at all, with Gidley/Henry/Mullen/Rogers in his way.

But i have heard from a few doggies fans, that he has all the skills, and they reckon he's just as talented, if not, more then his brother Ben.

Well i've followed this kid for a while since he was a young guy. I've seen him play in Newcastle a couple of years ago against some of the junior sides and i've also saw him play in Sydney earlier this year when i went to the Royal Easter Show in Matt's or SG ball i can't remember. I've even met him before. Alot of the games i've seen of him look very good and i would say he's a bit like Ben but a better organiser.

Like someone said, he was diagnosed with CANCER last year, its a pretty big achievement he is back playing so soon, at such a young age.

I dont think anyone is really calling him a SUPERSTAR just yet, just that he has looked good, or they have heard good things about him. They have just said that its a good signing, and could eventuate into a good X-factor type player, something we havent seen much of apart from Uate, Thaiday in the last few years.

I think this might be the Onslo connection coming into play again.
