Didn't know you could do that, so I'll have to look into it for sure.

Yeah, this is the way i'm doing it. Transferring funds straight from my savings account into my paypal account.

Well there is also Forum upgrade that's due... it's almost the same amount we've all just put in. There is obviously no rush to get this done, but it provides you with the latest version of vbulletin which also includes a chat system and other great new things.

I'm sure James can elaborate, but I'm keen to have even the possibillity to donate all year round available that will go towards the website at all times.

Even if money isn't put in it for months, it's just always there.

    What does everyone think?

I think there should be a donate section , regardless of the vbulletin upgrade then James won't have to pay up every time there is a cost . Lets keep the ms dream alive .
I think if members have like $2 left over from a paypal transaction they will put it towards ms , you get a few people doing that a few times a year $$$

We are $60 over the hosting now! So thank you everyone who donated!!!

I will leave the donation over for those who would like to contribute to upgrading the forum software. As AK said, it's about the same price as the hosting. Go to vBulletin.com to see more info on vBulletin 4 (currently we are version 3.8.1, so it's a fair upgrade ... I haven't been able to afford the upgrade for a few years now).

Just one other thing, Jonno ... this was for the hosting for the next three years, the domain name is seperate, and I pay for yearly. I already paid that this year (a few hours late, so we had a generic search engine homepage for a few hours early one morning!) ... I think it was $40 and I just paid it myself. So also if anyone was wondering that I hadn't contributed to the fund for the hosting, I already paid that fee a month or two ago. :)

    Correct.

And don't quote me on the chat feature, but I am pretty sure it's a feature.

One thing I do know for sure is a feature is a smartphone version of the site, which would be very convenient compared to how it is at the moment.
