Lisa Fiaola Cup 2025

Game against Bulldogs starts at 11.

Hard to see us getting a win against the unbeaten Bulldogs, but it would be good if we make them work hard for the win.

Watching "That Pacific Sports Show" on SBS and they are interviewing the "house mother" for the Bulldogs house that has 7 Samoan girls from Auckland staying for the Lisa Fiaola season. The "house mother" has 1 daughter in that house and an older daughter playing Tarsha Gale and living elsewhere.
It's not news that the bulldogs are spending a lot of money bringing in talented players from NZ, Qld and even the Hunter and are pretty much unbeatable at LF and TG level.
It makes it hard for our girls, but all these Pacifica girls getting top level coaching and training can only be good for the future of the women's game.
We lost to the Bulldogs by 32 points. That was their closest game so far this year.
Their two closest games last year were also against us in the rounds and the finals.

The loss today makes it very hard to finish top 6.
The only path to the finals I can see is if Wests beat sharks by 8 or more next week.

Just watched the Lisa Fiaola semi final won by Parra 22 - 20 Bulldogs.
Bulldogs also lost Tarsha Gale to Parra as well - so don't make the GF in either grade.

Lisa Fiaola was an amazing effort by Parra to beat the Dogs who only had 42 points scored against them all season and their closest game was beating us by 32. Dogs made a lot of errors, but still looked way too big and strong, but Parra just kept showing up and making their tackles and taking their chances and got the win with a penalty goal in the last 3 minutes that hit the post and bounced in, and then had to defend their line for the last minute against wave after wave of powerful runs.

It was a classic David V Goliath victory. Bulldogs beat Parra by 36 points just a few weeks ago.

Bulldogs must have spent a fortune this year to bring players from all over to play LF and TG and don't make either GF.
