Thought I'd start up a thread where we can post these and comment on them.

First one for 2023 is the official Knights HQ podcast. Dom Young is the guest, not too much interesting discussion for us I don't think, these ones are mainly around likes and dislikes of the players, etc. They say England's World Cup campaign was a really great tournament for them, which I don't think many would agree with! 😂

Interesting to hear his experiences at the World Cup, though.

 

Really insightful chat with Alex McKinnon bloke is a legend/warrior.
Pretty inspirational goes into his story and his mindset during and he makes alot of good points about junior pathways and the bigger clubs having monopoly over recruitment.
 
Really good Knights HQ this week with Brian McDermott talking about his experiences coaching in England and the US, as well as a bit from his playing days:

 
Good Knights HQ podcast this week, Adam Elliott mentions how he wanted to come to the Knights for the 2022 season, but when he contacted the club we said our salary cap was already full :oops:

Also talks about how he really wants to take a leadership role at the club. Sounds encouraging!

 
A good listen, but I lost my mind at the part where Toohey basically suggested Parr should release a statement saying that AOB has the full confidence of the board, in order to knock all the rumours about his job being on the line on the head.

Just an insane thing to say. The man has worked in rugby league journalism for decades. What does it always, always mean when there’s a club statement about how secure the head coach’s job is?
 
The podcast this week where Matt Croker was busy and his off sider interviewed Tamika Upton was the best yet.

Tamika was so good a speaker and so relaxed in this format that I'd sack Matt and make it Tamika Upton's podcast from now on. She's a natural.
 
Not sure where to ask this question but this seems like the best channel.

Anyone know what happened to the Bay 53 podcast? Enjoy listening to their take on the Knights but they don’t seem to have done an episode for a while now.

It was just worth listening to when Croker was there.
Last time I tried to listen to it the guy spent what seemed like 20 minutes talking about falling on his backside for half a second, and checking to see that everyone noticed (newsflash - no one did).

Yeah it’s a pretty tough listen these days.
