The emphasis on the Pathways is to produce future NRL players. Normally if you get 2-3 from a given year that is a good result. I agree with you and those you mentioned, so we are potentially looking at 6-7 because I would add Lozza. This is tremendous and you can see why Parr was at every game and O’Brien/Buderus were there when games didn’t clash with NRL.Really disappointing result for them as they are a quality squad. Stgeorge were very powerful in that opening 20mins.
Premierships are great in lower grades but in end if we can get up to 6-10 real quality players come through the grades than as a club we’re cheering.
Votano
McEwan
De Courcey
Hilliar
Hopwood
Smith
Are the standouts. Majority of them have a couple more years in SG too. Would think all of them would be doing be going up to Flegg and doing an NRL preseason next yr.
Latu, Aoake, Brock Thomas and Slade are pushing hard too.
Good future.
The Ball side next year should be very good. Here is my guess:
1. Votano
2. Valentish
3. Winter
4. Blair
5. Sommerville
6.. Hails
7. Lozza
8. Hill/O’Doherty
9. Hagan
10. Hopwood
11. Ah-Toon Hotene
12. Cannavo
13. Hilliar
Since Parr has arrived we have recruited heavily for Ball and Flegg. Therefore there will be players brought in to further strengthen this team for next year.
