Elliot wasn't strong enough.
He looked really good running with the ball, but he was beaten in the wrestle in both attack and defence most times.
Cory Denniss doesn't look as good as Elliot to the casual observer, but Cory is a big lad and is naturally very strong.
If Cory can learn to read the defence and run lines as well as Elliot he'll be twice the player because he is 6'4" and strong as a bull.
 
The 30-year-old is out of contract at the end of the season, with a number of NRL clubs keen on acquiring his services, including the likes of Melbourne Storm, Sydney Roosters, Manly Sea Eagles, Newcastle Knights, NQ Cowboys and even his old club the Brisbane Broncos.

It is believed that Newcastle Knights are the favourites to sign the 30-year old.

Not sure where this is from, Toohey said on Twitter a couple of days ago that we passed on Moon.
 
Cant remember where I copied it from to be honest lol I Guess we will see . He must have been playing well over there for all these clubs wanting to sign him if its true ...
