Impulse Teams

My late father had this jersey and I’m wondering what year/team it might be and whose signatures are on it? All I know is the “Impulse” jersey was from 1998. Greatly appreciate any help identifying the team members!

Just on that first red stripe, I am pretty sure that's Matthew Johns, Andrew Johns, Glenn Grief, Peter Shiels, and ??

Yeah Matthew Johns, Paul Harragon, Clinton O'Brien, Glenn Grief and Timana Tahu all in there for sure.

Tahu won't be on there. Pretty sure he didn't play first grade until 2000.
He debuted in 1999 ... that's him third from the bottom on the right red stripe ... unless I'm seriously mistaken. Have a signed card of his and it looks almost identical.

Impulse airlines was run out of Port Macquarie by Gerry McGowan.
His son, Mark McGowan, worked for him.
I saw an interview with Mark McGowan where he said he knew little about AFL before moving to WA and becoming Premier - in fact, he had sat in a corporate box at the 1997 NRL grandfinal when the team his family's company sponsered won the GF.

Yeah, you're right. There is, of course, a good possibility that this is the 1999 team signing a 1998 jersey, as the only difference is the solid green badge surrounding the NRL logo. It was there in 1998, but by 1999 the badge had gone and only the NRL logo by itself remained.

In fact, I tend to recall the first half of the Round 1 Double-Header at Stadium Australia in 1999 the Knights had their 1998 jersey, but in the 2nd half it was the 1999 jersey. Or maybe it was all the Round 1 game and by Round 2 they had the new one.

Either way, whatever the reason, yes, it does appear Timana Tahu has signed that jersey.

The bolded bit is indeed correct. I just looked.
