I think he has potential to be a lot more than a hooker.
He has made some impressive line breaks and shown impressive vision in his games in firstgrade and last week in reserve grade his 4 try assists, 3 line break assists and 2 line breaks showed he has real playmaking skills and vision.
I'm thinking we could use him as a ballplaying lock for 80 minutes right now if we wanted to, but we could also try him out in the halves in reserve grade to see how that works out.
I don't know what positions he played as a junior, but he sure has a lot of skills that look like he's been a playmaker, and a good one.

I doubt Graham will ever touch Smith in terms of attack as a half, he would be better defensively obviously.

People need to understand positions, just because someone can do something at hooker doesn’t mean they can do it else where, with different responsibilities, defending is a different spot.

It’s a hard thing to do, I just don’t see it

Interesting. But if he is getting those stat's from hooker, he could stay there and be another strong thread in our attack.

Versatility in positions is a good thing. I really like him and phoenix on together.

I have not forgotten the best "surplus to needs" player on our roster. I mean that with all respect. I like smith.

This is a crazy time. We debate not needing a good player or two vs begging to be rid of horrible players and dreaming of one of our 4 top 30 halves being half as decent as Smith.

Notice Gamble not being discussed? And he was up there as one of our best halves in the last few years!

Interesting that when I was looking up Graham's statistics for the reserve grade game this week that they have done the usual review and upgraded his fantasy points from 99 to 103. I think they found a few more tackles and now have him doing 48 tackles.
I think the last guy to crack 100 fantasy points in reserve grade was Jackson Hastings when he was trying his guts out to get back into firstgrade.
