Assuming they're both fine to play or travel with the squad, we don't actually know why they chose not to. But if it was to avoid further injury and having to start their season in rehab in a new country, competition and club, as young players, particularly Pryce, that's not outrageous imo.

Tell you what Pryce has some impressive highlights on YouTube. We'll see him at fullback at some stage throughout the year assuming Ponga misses at least one game through injury/rep footy. If we don't sign the Fox I can't see how anyone else we have beats him to start on the wing. He's got it all.

Equally, at this time of year I know I’d rather be enjoying the beaches in Newcastle than a wet weekend in Blackpool.

Hastings is 184cm. Pyrce is 183cm.

They're both relatively tall for the positions they play.

KPP is just very fkn tall at 196cm, basically same height as the Safs.
 
I read somewhere today that the Knights are considering trying to turn KPP into a winger to replace Young.

That sounds more like turning Will Pryce into a winger which would be a smart move.

We are in desperate need for a backrower that’ll proved second phase play and potential goal line threat from kicks. (Nanai style) he played a bit of centre a couple years ago but mostly came in to be a backrower and a starting one in a grand final winning team.

He’ll be a great foil for Lucas who will be a toiler and great line running.

Cartwright is an unknown to me, as I’ve never seen him play by has basically Fitzy’s body shape.
 
It said something about it being because of his powerful running and height 6'5". It also said he is fast not as fast as Young but he can work on that .
I guess it makes sense if he Has the hands as well, to replace a 6'6" 107kg winger with a 6'5" 108kg guy who has played center like Young who in his English highlights was mostly playing center not wing.
We turned him into a winger proper and look what happened , I don't see any reason they couldn't do it with KPP IF he has the hands. IF this is true, they must already think he does have good hands.
Personally I just want to see how he goes where ever he plays ...
 
If I remember correctly KPP played centre for England in the world cup and went very well I thought.
I might be dreaming it, but I seem to remember him and Dom Young combining well on the right wing.

I'd have no issues of pushing him to centre and Gags to wing? Just feel like wing is stretching it and just kills off his ability to offload in traffic
He'd have no-where near the pace of most wingers though, just the height and potentially strength.
