Cronulla Sharks cancel Snowden press confrence

The Cronulla Sharks were organizing a press conference to announce that Kade Snowden just signed a new 2 year deal , The conference was cancel at the last minute with Sydney Radio saying that the Newcastle Knights have made a massive last minute offer to lure Snowden to the Newcastle Knights :razz:
 
Sounds like he must be considering it otherwise the press conference would have gone ahead. Unless a 3rd team have snuck in under everyones noses as I'm guessing the reports of the knights offering more money is just a rumour???
 
there seems to be a lot of people on Sydney radio shows particularly 2sm that are saying that it is the Knights , they are just denying it until the official press release . You won't be the only one that will be unhappy Junior11 if he goes to the Bulldogs
 
Weidler also said on 9 that they thought it was believed that Tinkler made a massive play for him :think: but according to the article its not true.
 
They had a spare $140,000 i think after Tandy left, but that wouldn't be enough for Snowy. I doubt it's the Bulldogs after him.

Well Tandy has been stood down on full pay so if they dare say they have room now Schubert needs to break down Greenberg's front door and kick his ***.

Surely they wouldn't have the speculated 400k+

Latest Sharks press release: 'Shortly before the press conf Kade was contacted directly by a third party with a substantial counter offer..'

Sharks have been in contact with Newcastle Knights Chairman and CEO and they have confirmed that the club has not made any other offer.

I'm just thinking that St George have a little bit of room in their cap after losing Smith and Costigan maybe they pulled out their cheque book for Snowy
