Chris Houston signs with the Widnes Vikings

In the NSW cup game against the Mounties the commentators mentioned that almost every player for the Mounties had played NRL and some had long NRL careers behind them, but out young forwards like Fitzgibbon, Koopu, Steele, Saifiti etc all held their own.
We'd be in big trouble if we had to use more than 1 or 2 of those guys in any game, but i'm happy that we might have to use Koopu instead of Lowrie or Houston next year.

Yes. If he plays, Jimmie McManus will be 30 before the Auckland Nines, Mickey Paea and Snowey hit the golden 30 during the season. Don't think there are any more veterans?
 
Apart from depth it also doesn't help that we don't have an nrl fullback or hooker, two important roles that urgently need fixing..
 
Another thanks for the memories Houston post. Just another player Bennett didn't utilise properly.
Game has probably passed him by a bit at NRL level. All the best in England.
