Is there any way you can change the name of a thread that you started?

When new people sign up, I think they get asked to enter the username of a user if they were referred by them to the forum.

    Basically recruitment points.

I've got 1 from Vossy over at LL. Not exactly something I'm proud of.

Ah, I wasn't sure how you show that you referred someone. Thanks for the clarification.

When they register, there is a little box that says 'Referrer' and they just type in your username.

Some forums go crazy with that sort of stuff.

Who cares who invited the person. It's the fact that the person came and joined that's what matters. :D

True. It's pretty much just credit for referring that person.

In saying that, I know forums actually have mods on certain number of referrers to keep their mod job. Harsh really. But it's like a way they know they are promoting.

Yeah, mods should be chosen on how well they do not on how many people they have referred.
