Buderus may require more back surgery after collision

Think it's gonna take a little while to sink in that he's never gonna play for us again. ;(
 
You'd think after 17 years he'd learn not to lead with his head.
Seriously though, what are the odds that he'd do that in his last game?
It's kind of a rookie error that you'd mostly see in NYC games.
 
Reminds me of Joey's departure in his second to last game.

Stretchered off, they both gave absolutely everything they had for us.
 
The annoying part was the JWH just braced himself for the collision comment. Snowden just braced himself for the collision as well.
 
I don't have a problem with JWH's carry it's the "he was bracing himself" thing. I seen an interview with Fa'logo through the week where he mentioned big collisions that's what big boys do.
 
Just got home from the game.

Once Danny went down you could just feel the whole mood change in the Knights section- it was heartbreaking to see him go down like that. He didn't deserve to go out that way- still cant believe we wont see him play for us next season. Although apart of me thinks he might delay retirement for another year...
 
Totally devastating. One of the greatest players to ever lace a boot, an absolute legend in every sense of the word who embodies everything that is good in Rugby League. He will be sorely missed.
 
At least he won't remember it, so his last recollection will be the win in Melbourne. Our third best win as a club and ending Cameron Smiths season, having the last laugh.

Still, being robbed of not being carried off is so sad.
 
Well I'm not blaming that for our loss, but if snowdrn gets penalised for lifting a knee I don't see why jwh isn't.

We didn't have a chance to get in the game.
 
After watching the replay of the Danny Buderus injury I'm sorry I have a big problem with JWH's forearm. If he was "bracing himself" for the collision as stated his arm carrying the ball would have been tucked in however just prior to the impact he launches his elbow forward and in fact follows through after the collision such was the force of impact. The game's rules, interpretation and implication of same are beyond the incompetent fools in charge.
 
An Elbow to the head whether accidental or not is an offence...

If they were consistent JWH should've copped what Snowden got...

After all Kade was bracing himself but the judiciary still gave him a massive suspension...

JWH should've been sent off and given 4 weeks on the sidelines (6 with loading)...

But that wouldn't happen to glamour boys of Bondi...DOUBLE STANDARDS !!!
 
Strange game when Smith gets put on report for leaning on Maloney's head while JWH tries to put Danny's head into orbit with an elbow and he's bracing himself. Can't ever remember watching a Grand Final where I hope no team wins. Maybe the bird flu will wipe both teams of feathered f**ks out before the weekend.
 
This thread wasn't really meant for debate on what happened to Buderus, but there wasn't anything in that other than bad luck.

Judging by the fact Jeremy was placed on report for that I believe the time has come to rename the comp - The NTFL (National Touch Footy League)

How freakin soft this game of outs has become, It's depressing
