Australia vs NZ, Sunday October 16th

I think the Kiwis will be much better come the Four Nations. Most of the points were leaked out on the edges, mainly from Beale and Lewis making poor defensive choices.. Throw in Matai, Vatuvai, and possibly move Mannering to centre and that problem should be solved.

Hohaia or Leuluai in for Fien. Fien's getting past it IMO
Blair and Matulino will add plenty of size and aggression to their pack.

I just reckon Australia's backs were way too strong and skilled then New Zealand's, Lewis and Beale had poor defensive reads and I was actually surprised at Nightingales defence also, especially on Boyd's second try.

Matai, Vatuvei and Hohaia are all out of the series Aidos! Agree about Leuluai in for Fien. And Mannering to centre. The decision not to include Sau now seems insane.

Australia's centers were great after I had a question mark on them!

Might be an Aus England final, I reckon ... Never know though. Should be a great series, can't wait!!!

Haven't watched the 2nd half yet, but I wouldn't say it's the New Zealands right side backs that are the problem, they were just having the same problem we had on the left this year. We don't match up numbers in the middle, and that means the backs have to play more infield or there would be gaps closer to the middle.

My god the game was hot today! Anyways i was cheering for Uate the whole game, was so excited for him i was shaking! The most passion i've ever had for the Kangaroos! Australia's backline just totally outclassed New Zealand's. The forwards were pretty good for both sides. I wouldn't worry for New Zealand, they never go well in one offs. They always go well in the Four Nations & i expect them to go well again this year. The backline is severely lacking though, no Inu, no Perrett, no Vatuvei, no Matai, no Sa'u, no Ropati, no Duffie, no Hohaia, no Kenny-Dowall.

^Lol.

Great game! The fire at the start of the game was so hot, I could feel it from the top stand! Our defence is an issue, they seemed to be a little skinny in the middle.

Uate, he was a amazing (no bias :p) he is just a beast... Shame he didn't get that hat-trick, oh well 2 tries isn't too bad haha. Didn't feel as warming to Boyd, I guess he will grow on me as a Newcastle player.

Haha yeah that was awesome, had it going around for a couple of timed before everyone got tired of it. :p

Had one of the best days of my life at the game today, only just got back then, spent a while down there meeting both of the teams!

Australia were always going to win by a comfortable margin no doubt about it, everyone apart Smith pulled their weight for Australia, Marshall was a major let down for the Kiwi's. Bought a fully sponsored Kangaroos jersey pre match for $100, seen a few people off this forum down there too. Got served at the bar too! haha.

How good was the mexican wave for the people that went, lasted about 15 minutes! Also, sat down with the Roo crew, confetti was thrown aswell, had a blast!

Added after 5 minutes:

Where abouts did you sit Josh?

Exactly seats 18, 19 & 20 in row T, Bay 9 with my Mum & brother.

Who did you see NF?Cam Smith played fine?!
I think Bigdan was in front of me in the line when I was buying the Kangaroos jersey, then I think I saw him after the game aswell. Also thought I saw TKR7 again.

Two bays over from me then, two of my other freinds were sitting in bay 9 actually. Went over to see them at halftime there, so you might have spotted me haha.

Oh yep, well Dylan is hard to miss. I always see him, but he is in too much of a rush to ever notice me!

And I did see Bigdan once, but only when I read his tweet about where he was sitting ... it was a long way away, but I did spot him!

Was a good time today - game got a little uneventful at points due to the blowout, but getting the wave started was pretty darn fun

Sat south-western corner in Bay 60 - was good fun.

On a side note, seems like I shouldve headed out to town tonight xD - A few of the kiwi boys were in at the brewery. xD

I see Dylan nearly every game, bit of an icon haha! Been meaning to go over and introduce myself, but i've always got freinds around so it would be a bit awkward. Never actually met anyone off here yet, have seen a few though.

The kiwi boys are nice, Kevin Locke, JWH and Isaac Luke especially.

Dylan is totally an icon! I'm sure everyone knows him too ... he should be the Knights new mascot, take over from that guy with the big snoz. :)

Never met any of the Kiwi players, except for my NSW Cup stare-off with Locke ... good to hear they're a nice bunch though. Think they must have had their minds on the post-match socialising today.

Why didn't you guys say something/yell out? I'm not that inapproachable...

Haha he should!

They were fantastic, even had photos with me and my mates in Kangaroos jerseys which I thought was nice of them. Benji was a bit of a snob but I can hardly blame him, he is one of the best players in the world and has fans coming up to him 24/7, similar to how it used to be with Joey.

All the Aussie boys were welcoming too, got to meet all of them except Watmough who just ignored everyone and got straight on the bus, but can't really expect too much from a Manly player! Also seen Wes and Eddy and had a chat to them both, nice blokes.

We're you wearing the Heritage jersey today Bigdan?

I dunno haha, should of but I'm pretty shy myself.

I was pretty much over the other side of the ground, would have had to have a loudspeaker with me!!!

You lot will just have to put all your shyness and arrange a ms meetup next year - I'll pxt you a photo of me watching tv from NZ and it'll be like I'm there too.

I'm keen for a meet up, having my p's and now a car will make it so much easier too.

If we have a game at Gosford next season, do it then.
