2024 Season

For all the mockery about the Dogs having a million utilities etc, they did bring in a lot of competitive high care factor players.

I’ve heard that they have “won” the “race” for Lachie Ilias though so it was fun while it lasted for them.

Dogs rightful winners yesterday but the Crichton on Asi duel was like Best on Naden the other week, except Parramatta actually chose to go into the contest like that without it being forced by injury. Dogs would’ve rued not getting home considering how easily they were slicing through that side.

After tonight's game, Moses surely if fit gets picked over Hynes for the Blues halfback in game 2.
Dunno Moses did a pretty good disappearing act on Monday against the Dogs. Neither of them inspire a lot of confidence. But Cleary in a NSW jersey doesn’t either. Queensland would have to choke big time to lose the series from here.

What about the try from Hammer? Amazing run and totally changed the momentum of the game.

Moses went MIA on Monday but I still think he's better than Nicho and offers a better long kicking game.

Hammer is probably my favourite non Knights player right now. Always enjoy watching him play.

Id go with
4.Trell
6.Cody
7.Moses
Barnett in for Hudson.

Moses and Cody complemented each other well last year. Cody and Latrels bond is magic.

I can’t put my finger on if it’s Knights bias or not, but I think for Madge picking Best over Latrell is a no brainer. Madge wants to physically dominate QLD through playing power football and picking supremely fit players.

Latrell just does not offer that style of play. I remember last year going to our game against the Rabbitohs, it was built as a massive game for both clubs and I thought geez Trell is going to turn one on here. I couldn’t believe how disinterested he was, then on top of that how long it took him to physically recover from any hit up or kick return he took. Best on the other hand is supremely fit, strong defensively and has one of the best backfield carry’s in the competition for a centre.

Very good points, but he is also coming back from a hammy strain, so this weekends game will need to be impressive

I think Madge would be watching both games closely. But unless Trell has a shocker or injured he should be getting picked.

Bradman was superb in Origin last year and has been quality in a poor side for us this year, bloke is definitely built for the Origin arena and wouldn't let anyone down.

Unfortunately for Bradman - Latrell is the best left centre in the game and there's nobody that goes particularly close to him, easy to forget just how dominant he is in the centres when he's been playing fullback for so long now.

Trell had one poor game in Origin as a 21 year old, everything outside that has been frankly ridiculous - Gagai was a mythical entity in the Origin arena and was at the time in the best form of his life at club level in 2021, Latrell absolutely dominated him. It's a genuine shame that we haven't been able to see him take that stage since.
