Already been announced that it’s happening and probably what hindered him at times during the last month or so of the season as Baz mentioned.

More realistic and plausible that the crap Paul Kent spits out on things that he has no clue on talking about the bubble wearing him down.
Paul Kent just needs to give up and retire, has been getting more embarrassing every year

Last I read the decision has been put off until Thursday when he sees a specialist.

I see Matty Johns has said Ponga is at a crossroads where he needs to either be a fullback or make the move to 5/8.

I think if given a whole pre-season he could develop more of a kicking game in general play and could easily be the answer at 5/8 fir us next season if AOB wanted to go that way.

Its easier to find an adequate fullback than to find someone we need at 5/8 I believe.

Mann to 1 would be great, rover gids style.

Could work, keeps him in the side and heis already a good ball runner.

As ive said plenty on here, Ponga's skillaet is better suited to 5/8 anyway and for mine he should make the move.

Pearce and Ponga are great players but not game managers.

We need a game manager in the halves.

OB has said we need a 5/8 to take workload off Pearce. Now I dont really agree with his reasoning that a million dollar half should need pressure off them, but OB must think Pearce is capable of game managing and needs another player to help with playmaking.

At this point I'm not sure what Pearce is good at. Let's hope it was just an injury or the constant changes in the spine and he can find his 2018 form again.

Funny thing about Pearce had good form 2018 without a regular 5/8 and a not so good pack compared to this year And probably a few changes at 9, so what has changed that his form has deteriorated
    Injuries, age or both

I would have been happy if Pearce had played all season like he did in the first 6 or so rounds this season . He was playing good footy then .

I reckon its the bubble, matt John's was saying on his podcast that junior has really struggled with the bubble. And also on nrl 360 benji was saying since he has left the bubble he was worried about a lot of players mental health because while everyone says footy players a privileged for having jobs etc, the restrictions they have to follow are much more severe than the rest society

All I got out of it was wahhh wahh whinge whinge, sook sook. Seriously whinging about their mental health. Get out in the real world where $40 an hour is an ok wage. Junior is earning what 800 to a mill a year. Anywhere from 15 to 19k a week. He literally doesn't need to move from his home if he didn't want too. I'm sure whatever he "wants" to do isn't that important.

I can understand that, but i think if you were earning 800k a year, would you say there is a 100% chance you will be happy everyday of your life or not have any down days? Not saying he isn't fortunate, but i think you should be a bit realistic. Plenty of wealthy people have committed suicide or had bad lives. I think its realistic to assume that if he wasn't mentally 100% it could affect performance

Oh look I understand exactly what you mean. The bloke just got engaged, this time should be one of the most happiest. People have down days, weeks, months. If I had half his weekly paycheck I'd be much happier.

Playing under a different coach has a lot to do with how Pearce plays.
He ran a lot more this year and his kicking game was very different - both things that come down to what the coach wanted him to do.
Letting him play his natural game would probably let him look better, but maybe it wouldn't fit in with how the attack coach (Willie Peters) wants the team to play.
We made the 8 this year with a side that wasn't too different to last years side, so I'd say that what we did this year worked better - but it would be nice to see us find a way to get more out of Pearce while letting everyone else shine too.

Hahahaha yeah tbh I always like to look at the other side of things and it's hard to imagine him struggling when he is about to marry a glamour

For we fans Kalyn's decision is great news.

For mine he has been down quite a bit on his normal game through his shoulder and other small niggles.

Which is a worry in itself.
He is starting to get a reputation for being "not tough" for want of a better way to put it.
Teams think they can bash him out of games

I wonder what game it happened in. I'll put it down to the sharks game. Never looked like taking the line on much after that game.
