https://www.nzherald.co.nz/sport/news/article.cfm?c_id=4&objectid=11735668 I've posted this before, but it's worth revisiting. Article about Jirah Momoisea taking up Rugby League in his last year of school (2016) and getting a contract for Melbourne under 20s for 2017. He only played limited games for Melbourne and came to us in 2018. At the start of 2018 he was big and willing, but obviously had a lot to learn. He improved every game and by the end of the year was regularly doing shortish minutes off the bench in reserve grade. He went back to under 20s for the finals and had some massive, barnstorming runs in our last games. This year he has clearly developed in leaps and bounds while doing an NRL offseason. Training staff mentioned him amongst the strongest players. Match reports for the weekend say he had a very strong game in reserve grade and got some time in firstgrade as a reward. So he has had 2 under 20s offseason and 1 firstgrade offseason and lifetime total of maybe 40 or 50 games of league. You never know when guys reach their potential, but my guess is that this guy still has a lot of improvement in him.
