Do we really need another bloody series against India? All our blokes should be playing Shield cricket rather than going to India.

Agreed, think we need players in shield showing long game, especially players like Maxwell, Stonois and other fringe Ashes tourists

We should be looking ahead to the Ashes series not this hit and giggle crap. Get Test Squad players in the Shield for four day games, building long innings and long bowling sessions.

I can see it now Mr. Hohns. Finch. Carey, Stanlake, the Marches all back in.

I think the thought process from CA for this tour was prep for the WC which is their priority at this stage because the Ashes don't start until August

It will be interesting to see who they take for this tour and who they leave to play Shield cricket

With Hazelwood and Starc breaking down we need that six month lead in for the Ashes.

T20 WC is just BS. the ODI World Cup in England last year? Poor Aussies in three round games had two wash outs and one D/L loss in a rain shortened game.

We are just giving the Indians a cheap wicket and putting pressure on ourselves.

    Maxwell can captain the team.

He should be dropped from the ODI team now, so a new captain can start to settle in before the world cup.

Finch ODI record, take out his only score 100+ and left with 11 innings at about 12 average, not good

After a great start falling apart lost openers Maxwell playing well, Marsh causing doubts in running and then out, Hanscombe gone, this partnership, Stoinis and Carey the deciding game moment. Must get 300+.

After a very good start, surprise, surprise from Finch, we didn’t end as good as hoped but Stoinis and Carey did very well, bowl well and with luck we win.

Fourth game of five, down 2-1 and getting bashed, not looking good, is Stoinis injured?

A swallow doesn’t make a summer but a Finch can make a duck, sorry for my poetic attempts but again after a big score gonski and Marsh gone as well, huge, big, incredible effort required now.

On old Roman saying "A win is a win is a win" is much more poetic Frank. Series at 2-2 with one too go.

At 2/12 the Aussies looked gone. It was the highest score chasing by Australia in ODI history!
