Great to see our 2 left arm quicks demolish the Poms batting.

I really enjoyed the shots of the England supporters in the crowd as crucial wickets feel.

Watching the game last night the Poms had the better of the bowling conditions on a damp wicket at the start of play and sent Australia in. Bowled much too short. Finch and Warner in particular must have more than a dozen play and misses each with the ball moving off the wicket. The wicket dried out and improved during the day. They simply never got on top of Starc and Behrendorff and shot selection was very poor. I was surprised how the commentators, particularly Michael Clark, constantly complained how we threw a good score away. On that wicket for mine anywhere over 275 was a par score.

England to lose and miss the finals would be the best result.
There is no advantage to finish 1st, so knocking out England for someone we can beat more easily is in our interest.

NZ struggling against Pak not likely to make 200 so defeat a possibility although they do have a class bowling attack

Pakistan defeating New Zealand last night will spur the Sri Lankans on vs South Africa tonight. New Zealand will probably go in against England on fire and England vs India before that makes the prospect of the Poms missing out so much more real.

When you look at the draw Pakistan in with big show after beating NZ, some others, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh in with big show, England suffering from easy early draw to hard finish, very interesting

England need to win both remaining games, India and NZ to qualify.

Didn’t sit up and watch it, got results this morning, win is a win especially as most bats failed, Finch, Warner, Smith and Maxwell. Good to get that out of way.
England now out of four with tough games to play, must win both as think Pakistan will win last game, of course weather could come into it.

Pretty much a below standard wicket Frank with only Khawaja and Carey being able to bat on it with any confidence.

Just loved Jeremy Coney's comment the NZ batsmen suffered from a severe self abuse problem with their poor shot selection. One amendment roughie to your table ~ Pakistan defeated Afghanistan in the 50th over to move ahead of England.

for some reason my DVR didn't record the NZ innings, but from watching the aust innings, it wasn't an easy wicket to bat on. Kahwaja showed why we need him there to grind out a score on a bad pitch.

Khawaja held the Australian innings together.

I'm loving watching Mitchell Starc wrecking batting line-up after batting line-up.

The Poms put up a great score last night, 337, to defeat India. The Indian batsmen were never on the required run rate and needed over 100 off the last eight.

Poms still in it, difference was early loss of wicket India but England big partnership early means you control the game easier.

I think England might make it as teams in contention only have 1 game left according to roughie's list, other than India who have 2.. They are the only one of the possible three with a positive run score. Pakistan win and England lose could change that but the Pakis are so unreliable and England will be bolstered by last night's great win.
