2018 NRL Season: Round 11 Discussion

Funny you should say that, interesting to compare what you are using as a guide.
Broncos fringe 8 worst in memory doesn't say much for teams 9+ and Warriors worst top 4 not memory but recent times but they keep winning and beaten a few good teams, I'm guessing but not a fan of either?

I don't rate either team, it seems every second week when the broncos lose a game the refs get a memo to give them a hand. Realistically they have not looked like a top 8 team all year and not even close. Even broncos fans are saying this.

The Warriors have played three teams who actually played good against them and they lost all those games convincingly which is a concern. The other games the teams just played really badly or shot themselves in the foot like the eels. If both make the finals they aren't winning a game IMO.

Unless they play each other

NRL admits error in sin bin timekeeping debacle

The NRL will conduct a review into how sin-binned players are timed after admitting to a "breakdown of the process" in Manly's win over Melbourne at AAMI Park on Saturday night.

NRL officials have admitted Manly players Apisai Koroisau and Matthew Wright were incorrectly allowed to return 1 minute and 41 seconds early in the second half of their controversial win over the Storm.

The NRL released a statement on Sunday afternoon, admitting the error was "unfortunate and it is regretted".

"There was a breakdown of the sin bin process during Saturday night's game. As per the NRL Rules, the responsibility of timing for sin bins is held by the clubs. In this instance, there were no club-supplied sin bin operators present at the venue.

"As a result the NRL Ground Manager – who would ordinarily monitor the process rather than manage it - was asked to assume the responsibility. Following initial inquiries it has become clear that during the sin bin period the NRL Ground Manager was required to deal with an interchange issue requiring urgent clarification and a timekeeping error regarding the sin bin period was made.

"The Manly players were allowed back onto the field before they were scheduled to return. The mistake is unfortunate and it is regretted. The NRL will conduct a review of the process and will discuss measures to ensure the circumstances are not repeated."

Alas there is much in our refereeing at the moment that is 'unfortunate and regretted'. Maybe explaining the role of the big hand and the little hand would be a great start!

Missed these games because of work, Can't remember the last time we had 2 games on the same night decided by 1 point

Watched glasby closely tonight and all I can say is meh...............
Yeah , I watched this too, but if my memory serves me didn’t he come on with less than 5 mins to go, not much incentive there.
Don’t forget Bellyache is renowned for punishing players who sign elsewhere.

He started the game and was just tackling things. Not much attack stuff if at all. Does the 1% but not a big signing like they are making it out to be in afraid.
