Coach has been saying all along that he is too good to be on the wing and won't play there. Also said he will be in the starting side. If coach is going with Smith at 7 where else is he going to play him?

Cant is the same weight as Dylan Lucas. He is a couple of cm's shorter though.

Ranking the starting halves from both sides tonight, Smith wasn't in the top 3! He was okay, but I wouldn't be counting on him to make us a top tier team. Big point from tonight, we may have a little more depth at 9 than some feared, same for our front row stocks.

Sharpe is twice the player Smith is. Smith comes here as a back up / bench player that has had 1 or 2 good games at NRL level. Why would anyone buy into the idea he's a walk up start over one of our best atracking players. A spine of... 1. Ponga 6. Brown 7. Sharpe 9. Crossland ... is going...

Sharpe over Smith every day of the week.

Ponga is good to go. He's pain free and was signed off by the doc... they're just not risking him in a trial.
