Smith will get a chance. Players getting through a season uninjured is rare. At some point one of the halves will have to miss a game or Sharpe might move around, fullback seems likely at some point! 😅 If Brown and Sharpe aren't killing it, Smith will get a chance eventually and if looks better...

Just read that the Warriors are looking to get compensated with a player or two. Hopefully that's just if they're looking to do a swap this year. Hopefully they don't hold him back next year given the circumstances, as much as they're in their contractual rights to do so. Other teams might not...

I don't know if Sharpe and Brown is the best pairing, or Smith and Brown is. But I think there's points in this team. I think we're underestimating the team based on how we finished last year. We never looked great last year, but we were in games for the most part, plodding along with a very...

PVL is a super polarizing figure because people don't like change, but the guy has been a force in trying to evolve the game. 3 new teams in the space of a few years - capitalizing on the Brisbane market, going back to Perth and taking advantage of a league heartland in PNG. The game is a lot...

Russell Packer - signed a 4-year deal in his prime as a current NZ Kiwis front-rower. Was meant to be our big signing of 2014 and then goes out and assaults a man, stomps on his head for good measure, before even arriving to the club.

I mean he literally just broke the news of Jones not being re-signed and being told he's free to leave. Have you heard that anywhere else? Also hadn't heard about Holbrook's current relationship with Marzhew, or that Sullivan bloke having concussions and not training. The guy clearly has some...

This was an interesting quote I just read from an article after the trial match...

Exactly. Good teams have depth. We can't complain about not having depth and then wanting to get ship off every single bloke that doesn't happen to look like a potential rep player. Not everyone is destined for that. Eventually the young guys will overtake a Jones and Croker, when they're ready...

On low money and year to year contracts I don't mind. They're both approaching 100 games, they are capable of filling in on a week to week basis when needed. Like it's usually the case you have a young guy that's not ready yet for week to week, or you have to sign one of those Jones/Croker...

It's great for PNG to have a side but I would expect that they will run last every year for at least a few years. They'll struggle. But the first time they win a game will be a momentous occasion.

He's also mates with Ciraldo and Seibold I think? So had connections both at Manly and the Dogs.

That's at least 8 years ago. He was a boy then, his body has physically developed much bigger now. I'd doubt he could get back to that sort of a playing weight and maintain it. He's a big boy.

Yeah that'd be a good coup for the Broncos. Feels unfair, they just won the comp, now get one of the young gun halfbacks to replace their retiring premiership winners, Jesse Southwell all over again. They'll set themselves up for a long time with Pezet.

Different organisations though. Different people have different ideas. PVL might ban them, a new CEO in 5 years time might have other ideas.

Just don't throw him to the wolves too early and burn him out completely by his mid 20s like we did with DSaf!

As far as guys who promised big things, there's a few that could be listed. Mullo was a really good player and every year it seemed like he was getting just that bit closer to reaching his potential, only for it all to be cut short by a steroid ban. Sione was the youngest Kangaroo ever and has...

And his brother Toka Likiliki. Ethan Cook, Josh Ailaomai and Chad Redman were juniors we were quite hopeful for at one point.

I read that and good on him for wanting to have a crack. But the absolute disrespect to the Knights halves in that article. 🤣 Basically speculating with our halves situation up in the air and no one able to cement a spot, Stig could be an outside chance to make a return. Like our halves...

Gamble was pretty dog **** to start the year. Remember he put off contract talks to earn a better deal and it looked to backfire because he was putting balls out on the full, got dropped and injured. Miraculously worked out for him in the end though and now he looks to be right in contention for...

Salty his mate got fired.
