If anyone is going to break the record, it'll be this year.

Yeah I feel a bit bad for him, he's going to cop a lot of the blame here. In reality, the Bulldogs have been in freefall ever since imploding their season by pushing Sexton and Mahoney out. O'Brien of course has his part to play here, but I think the issues are probably a bit deeper than him in...

Yeah that's a massive shame. DSaf was really thrust in to being our main guy almost immediately as a rookie. I have no doubt this has had an affect on his body and now it's all catching up. The start of his career up to making the Origin team, he genuinely looked like one of those rare elite...

14-17 doesn't really mean anything this year. In Round 2 we used players 18 and 19 instead of two players that were named in the 17. Round 5 we used player 19 instead of no 17. Hunt is only going to get on the field if we need a back.

That would have to be the model I think. Build up a core of players with PNG roots to create a connection to the area, then sprinkle in a few non PNG players on huge money that are ready to buy in to the mission.

Some of the old codgers on facebook already believe everything the media comes out with, there's no hope now with all the AI driven engagement farm crap popping up nowadays.

Don't see why you wouldn't pick Mark, he's clearly the best player out of that lot. Who cares what he's doing next year, it's about winning this year isn't it? Pick the best guy.

I'd be shocked if it wasn't the next team to come in after PNG.

I wonder how the games would look if they went forward with the rule that the conceding team can choose to receive a kick off. The clubs were against it but it would help wrestle some momentum back in these sorts of games where one team is just getting a roll on all game. We could have been in...

Best is a weapon, we just haven't used him too much this year so far. Which is surprising given the change in play style. The players have been taking turns having a big game, one day soon he'll have a ripper. Could see another team outbidding us for him. Would hate to lose him, but ultimately...

https://www.nrl.com/news/2026/04/09/express-yourself-why-benjis-brand-of-footy-has-kpp-thriving/ More proof O'Brien had the handcuffs on the team. KPP talking about his move to the Tigers and how Benji is allowing him to express himself and use his personal tools like the offload. Says it was...

We've won 4 games, only team we played so far in good form we lost too. Long way to go. Finals is a different beast. We make the finals as is, I think we get daddied in Week 2 or Week 3 by a team that's been there before. We make the finals with a fit, fresh and determined Ponga and Brown...

How cool is this, very 80s coded.

It's a decent place to be with Gagai at the end. We just have to try and pick the best few to invest in. If Hunt, De Courcey, Winter and Seve all show themselves capable of playing first-grade, the nature of the salary cap will draft them out to other NRL teams that will play them. Even...

Ponga and Brown are huge losses, they've been on fire, so it definitely does worry me coming up against some better sides. But one thing that it looks like Holbrook's done for the group, is just loosed up the leash and encouraged them to play what's in front of them which in turn has seen the...

Yeah Gagai is still classy, hard to believe he's 35 now. Same age as Mad Dog in his last year when he was still setting up Uate. We probably don't appreciate him enough, 35 and more than holding his own in a game where young guys overtake the old guys all the time.

That would be such a relief. The fact that he was walking around afterwards and looked fine after the game was very positive, but that replay where he went down with no one touching him couldn't be ignored. That's not how corks work. Heart dropped when he went down but looks like it's going to...

It's nice to see how young the 3 new guys are. Easy to forget because of how we talk about them, being our big new signings, but Brown is 25, that's a baby in playmaker years, he's about to start his prime. Mooney and Smith are 23 yet you'd think they are established first-graders with how we...

That's my big hope. I don't know if they'll necessarily hit the ground running tomorrow, but if they stay on the field for an extended amount time, I don't see why we can't beat a lot of teams through the year. For the first 3 quarters of the season, you would describe us as a team with a...

He is still only 19, still has time to grow into his body with a few NRL pre-seasons but he definitely looked a bit deer in headlights didn't he. After the wraps he was getting in the junior grades. Needs to keep at it, either going to see him flourish in the next year or two of consistent...
