Dylan Lucas played 2 of his last 3 games in 2022 as a second row. His stats were decent.

    Remember that random player?

Rochow was a top junior for us. I think he started out as a back. He was poached by Melbourne and had a fantastic junior career for them. He was captain of their Toyota cup (u21s) side that won the 2009 title. I remember 1 game where he tore us to pieces, and we had a good side that year. He did...

These days they all seem to go to non locals we gave a multi year deal to, with a development contract for the last year or two. It seems to be a way to recruit talented kids - offer them a firstgrade preseason and 40k development spot.

Parr gives nothing away. The interviews he gives have literally nothing we don't already know.

No, He was too big and not fit enough for fullback at Mathews level. They moved him to centre when he ran out of puff. For the last 2 years he's been playing either centre or wing. Wing is his best position - tall, fast and can jump.

Chris Vea'ila - A kiwi who came over as a 15 year old to play Mathews. He played fullback in Mathews and was one of our best in the 2019 team that took out the minor and major premierships. He was probably the tallest kid in the team and close to the heaviest as well. When they really needed a...

The little defender's take on the Denmark game was that we defended great to keep them to 0...

Milton left the Knights because he was an alcoholic who couldn't stay sober at the Knights because of our drinking culture is what his wife said if I remember correctly.

Article where Parr talks about filling the last 3 roster spots. Says we'll keep an open mind and have till well into next year to fill them. Says we are not in talks for anymore swap deals. Says it would be inappropriate to talk about Miller because he is on contract elsewhere, and all the...

We could give a spot to a rapidly declining old prop in Taupau for a lot more money than he is worth, or keep a spot for a rapidly improving young prop like Max Bradbury for next to nothing.

We didn't have enough halfbacks on the coaching staff. All we had was O'Brien, Green, Kostjayson, Johns, Dobson and Monaghan. That McDermott guy has never played in the halves in his life and was stinking the place up without 7 halves to balance it out.

This photo of training last week might be Barnes at work - or just a regular training drill. Looks like Gamble is putting in a grubber with a couple of dummy defenders set up and the goalposts as his target. In the background are halves Liam Sutton, Mitch Henderson and Pheonix Crossland watching on.

    2022 FIFA World Cup

It was funny reading the other day that we had kept a team to 0 for the first time since 1974. I remember following the World cup campaign for the 1974 cup in Germany. Almost no one was following because soccer was only played by emigrants in most of the country. I followed the qualifiers...

Dylan Lucas article. Talks about how the disruptions of the last few years have held him back. He says his aim is to debut in 2023, but stayed humble when asked if he would have debuted in 2022 if not for injury. He talks about helping the younger guys doing their first pre-season, since he's...

Parr talks about Dummy half stocks. Says they were reluctant to release Randall, but picking up Marzhew made it easier. Says we have Brailey, Crossland, Mann, Kalepo and Riley Jones is a long term option. He doesn't mention Kobe Rugless, so I suppose he's a lock now, which is where he mostly...

What's weird is our staff turnover rate. I think O'Brien is currently hiring his 3rd set of staff in 3 years - and that's not counting all of Brown's staff going as well. There was a lot of speculation that the poor form of many last year could be because of the change in training staff, so...
