Fits will get his chance no doubt if he continues the kind of form he had at the end of this year. I think Brown will opt for the experienced 2x premiership winner and English International in Heighington and I would probably agree with that call for Round 1 unless Fits is an absolute standout...

Official: Knights sign Mitchell Pearce on a 4 year deal

I just really hope Lamb sticks around for the next 12 months. I rate Watson and Lamb both highly and the battle over the whole season will be very interesting. Watson will get first crack and I think it's fair to say he will have some pressure to perform. In most cases I would say Watson gets...

Yeah, I always thought SKD had more brain farts on the wing. His best football has been at centre (2010 being his breakout year there). Wingers are probably easier to recruit so I wouldn't be against doing that and giving SKD the centre spot.

    2018 Pre-Season and Trials

Like a lot of young players, his defence and putting his body on the line should come with experience. He seems like a player that's obsessed with improving his game so that helps.

Another general kicking option with Phythian on the field. which could be handy. Pearce will be the only one that can really kick otherwise.

Ross played plenty of centre in attack while defending on the wing this year

Official: Knights sign Mitchell Pearce on a 4 year deal

I don't think anyone doubts that Watson has landed the no. 6 for Round 1 and will get a good long crack at it. Huge fan of Watson by the way and I think he's going to be awesome at 5/8, but I think it's reasonable to suggest that he'll have to perform to hold his spot over Lamb.

True. His game would be simplified in attack at centre and his athleticism would make him dangerous. Defensively it's one of the toughest positions though so he'd probably be a nightmare in that regard.

I was a fan of BJ while here but his effort this year for Canberra was pathetic and he looked a fat lazy heap for Samoa in the WC.

+1 Feeney was never going to be NRL standard, in any position.

His improvement at the end of the year was quite noticeable, averaging around 100m in the last month. Like you I thought he was a very limited player but he surprised me at the end of the season. I'm interested to see if there's improvement there or maybe it was just a temporary form spike.

True. Scott returning and addition of McClean looks very strong.

Dragons pack is the best in the comp. They will probably look very good at some stage but McGregor will ensure they will be inconsistent. They would be a force with a good coach.

He's not in my 17 Round 1 but Josh King seems to be the forgotten man. I hope with all the depth in the forwards it pushes him to improve and fight for a spot.
