JSaf is out.
Mooney had a slight strain, so some chance.

Hopwood and Crouch both played 42 minutes, which is probably their limit.

Might be time to move Croker to prop with Frizzell and use maybe Cant at lock.

Brodie Jones played 73 minutes as starting prop in reserve grade last week.
ESL has played a mix of second row, lock and prop and always has a go.

8 Croker
9 Crossland
10 Frizzel

I wouldn’t be moving Crokes after having his best season to date, predicting everyone backs up from origin and Moon and Saf are out. See below:

Given where we’re at, I think the longer term view is more important with Best and Kaylyn. If they’re 100% rested and niggle free, let them play. Otherwise it’s same as today for me with a shuffle in the forwards noting JSaf and question over Mooney.

Under no circumstances should Kalyn or bradman play. In particular Bradman.
We’re lucky to have reliable deputies in Hunt and Smith. I’m more than happy to reduce our chances of winning for a week if it minimises the chance of best and ponga getting a soft tissue injury this close to finals.

Reasons:
Ponga & Best
I’d love to use Bradman and Ponga but I’m a little hesitant because we are at that stage that if you get one semi bad injury than your season is done so I’d go on the side of caution especially with the tough games coming after Souths

Props:
I’m hearing Mooney might be back and if so that’s a massive in and will go right into the starting side with Hopwood on the bench and knocking Jones back to cup.

Manu:
I’d be so extremely tempted to use him as a impact bench prop giving the circumstances as he is aggressive, has good movement and good leg drive but not quite sure he could handle it but I’d be tempted even if it’s the last 20 minutes of the game, but that will mean we don’t use Cant and we can’t have that according to the coaches or the universe might explode.

Hunt & Sharpe
I’d keep them for now but Sharpe desperately needs to get better at contested kicks and Hunt needs to work on positioning because he almost screwed us on that one play where he was 6 miles in field but apart from that he played a really good game so I’d keep him for this one

Dane Gagai:
I know some might say he had a good game but in my opinion it wasn’t, a few times he could have backed Young and didn’t and Young toke it on himself to push Gagai away and move into centre just to get the ball, not to mention his stupid lack of ball security. So far POS is looking like he can see the future by letting him go.

Absolutely no way I would move Croker back to the prop he isn’t one just very simply he isn’t a nrl prop, he looked like he was going to be on the outer as a prop and he has been a revelation at lock, it would be borderline idiotic to move him anywhere while in career best form.
