Toohey's News

Yeah well i think he should get a fine of some kind as well but id be happy now just to let it all go and try to make the team pull together as a team again .
Dissension in the ranks is the last thing we need , the one thing we do need is Pearce at his best and for the season this year not 6 or 7 games like last season .
Im over it all now lets just get on with the season , hopefully AOB can get that into there heads .

I hope that was a stomach bug because it doesn't bode well for the year if there is that sort of feeling towards Pearce. Thing is she has left the club (i guess in disgrace) left her employment and wages and Pearce gets a slap on the wrist and loses nothing but the captaincy ..
IMO that sucks he has a bit of a cry and all's forgiven gets me how cheating ******s have a big cry and are so sorry AFTER they get caught ...
Ohh i love my familly and my missus and the club , of course you do after the fact but not while you were having a xxxx over someone else's missus hey .

Very rarely do I put any faith in coincidence!

That is going to mean Fitz missed Pearce giving his apology and OB trying to smooth over the situation.

Oh well, we have our excuse for the under performing for another season.

No Excuses this season if you don't perform for this or any other reason then your dropped we have enough talent to cover everyone...I dont think AOB will put up with it either he wants to win more than anyone .

Disagree, aside from Pearce we don't have a natural half except for Crossland who due to his injury can't kick.

Green sounds like his a ways off and having a 34 year old with no preseason rushing into first grade sounds like a recipe for disaster.

They wont let Green play unless he is 100% ready and he would play half if need be but it'd be better to get over it all and get on with playing, thats what i think AOB will be trying hard to get them to do .
Hopefully they will work it out and play good footy all season , if they do we could be anything.

Says goal kicking is our biggest weakness. Ponga has worst percentage in NRL and we don't even have him for the first 4 rounds. Hoy and Barnett are our only options.

Says team leadership will be one thing addressed at the Tamworth camp.

Points out some of our young players didn't come on during the Brown era, but doesn't say it was Brown's fault.

Lamb and Cogger. Both moved to other NRL clubs and didn’t fire there either. Often it’s no one’s “fault” that that happens. Sometimes it just doesn’t work out.

It's funny how we have had so many outstanding goal kickers in the juniors in recent years - Kurtis Dark, Jonah Pezet, Max Buderus, Brock Lamb, Jock Madden, Logan Radjovic all kicking at 80% or more - but none of them are future firstgraders, except Pezet and Madden for Melbourne and Wests in the next few years.
Tex Hoy and Brodie Jones were very decent goal kickers in under 16s, but Kurtis Dark kicking at near 90% meant they never got a kick in 20s.
Just bad luck that we have had top quality kickers who don't make the top squad. Even Lino was fantastic at goal kicking but not quite up to firstgrade.

Talks up Clint Newton and the work he has done this year as president of the RLPA to keep the game going.

Says we are getting a new sponser called Isagenix - who I've never heard of.

Up to 5 players will be part of the leadership group - probably announced next week.

On top of that, isagenix uses a pyramid selling scheme to get customers to on sell to other potential customers for the chance to make a bit of cash. A bit like Amway. I know a former GP who threw in her job to push this product. I can't imagine the mad dog woyld be very impressed, this is direct competition for the man shake.

I'm not sure about sponsoring the club, but he is very generous to the Mark Hughes Foundation and would get plugs on beanies day.

Im not 100% sure Pearce will re-sign with us reportedly he has been offered $500,000 half his current contract and rival clubs are reportedly closely monitoring the playmaker’s contract situation.
If someone offers him $750,000 will he go, i would think so especially when the knights are only offering a 1 year extension.
If another team offers him 2 or 3 years, more cash and Clifford coming next season.
This could very well be his last season here although it did say he was ready to sign before sextgate for the $500,000.
