He could absolutely be 1000000% convinced on what he heard. How is he able to prove it while on field? You expect him to be running around with a microphone attached to him every game?

Classic he said/she said where it’s one persons word against another.

Suppose every girl in future needs to have the proof of being sexually assaulted from a guy before thinking of going to the police when all he has to do is say it was consensual.

That’s essentially what you’re saying with regards to Peachey’s claim against Barnett.

I dont agree at all ...As soon as you put the words (What he thought he heard) then you shouldn't say anything publicly .
If he feels the need to say something go ask him what he said after the game , make sure first .
This accusation could potentially be a life changing thing for Barnett and his family.
If your 100% sure no worries but if you THOUGHT you heard, then confront him privately after the game to be sure first before going public.
You say ( If each person’s versions differ, only one (or neither) can be accepted as what actually happened.) isnt this where being innocent until proven guilty comes in. I think i heard something i didn't a hundred times a day and im not in the middle of a tackle .
The problem is HE isnt sure of what he heard .

Im pretty sure the girl would be Sure she was assaulted , Peachy isnt SURE what he heard apparently and what im saying is go ask him before going public How hard is that . Do me a favour don't tell me what im saying mate ok because you have no fking idea .

Going and “ask[ing] him before going public” isn’t the same as “don’t say anything unless you can prove it” though.

I should have said (ask him) in that post as thats what i meant dont say anything until asking him . The other thing is if you say you thought he said something but cant prove it then your slandering him if he says he didnt say it and that opens you up to a case to answer too .
In the old days a man would have walked up to another man and asked him what he said ..

My point is it's hilarious now Barnett to 90 percent of Joe Public is a racist and has done nothing wrong yet ole mate peach can do his best to get him sacked without repurcussion.

Their should be punishments for false accusations.
 
I don't think many on here are lynching Barnett - I'm certainly not. We've been over my thoughts regarding the media controlling the narrative and the sheep etc.

If Walker has a game like last week it could be ugly. We don't seem to cope well with unstructured football, just hope it's one of those games where Souths drop the ball every five seconds.
 
Our season and South's has been very similar.
Inconsistent.
A good game followed by a rubbish. A rubbish one followed by a good one.

So Knights are due for a good game and South's are due to lose.

Look at 2 weeks ago, South's killed by the Dogs and Knights one of the better performances of the season.

It’s exactly the same just to a more extreme level. Ethan saying he (Peachy) needs to prove what he heard before raising it to the refs/officials. Quite simply no he doesn’t. If he heard it he has the right to make the officials aware of the situation.

Same thing applies with a girl being assaulted.

My other concern is the heat. Who's going to be better in these conditions? Who's fitter? Who's played/trained more daytime matches? Whose game does it suit more?

I'm probably overthinking it but they wouldn't play in 30+ heat very often.

I'm not confident at all but I'm still crazy excited.
