Yeah it's a bit salty of the people who are throwing this back on Peachey. He obviously thought he heard something in the moment, he wouldn't have just made it up. As an aboriginal man, he had every right to be pissed off. There's no evidence, Barnett apparently denies the racial part of it, so all we can do is hope Peachey misheard, an honest mistake & move on with it. Bagging out Peachey is just blindly taking the Knights player's side because he's a Knight & we don't want it to be true.

We have been focused on this game for the last month or so.
a 9 day turnaround should give us a good preparation, and players have been resting their injuries, missing games, doing short minutes etc to get themselves in the best shape possible for this game.
This is our grandfinal.
Even if we win it, we'll probably go no further, so this is the big dance for 2020.
souths are probably thinking they'll get this one out of the way and then be in the big games, but this is the big game for us, so we should be all in for this.
In the past we have limped into the finals and been fully spent and easy pickings for other sides, but the coach has been getting us prepared to put up a fight since it was clear we were going to make the finals, so no excuses now. This is the best prepared side we could put on the park with a clear mission to win this game.

So what are you saying? You think Peachey is lying, he was having a bad day & decided to come up with this on the field? If he heard what he heard, he should react the way he did, you can't punish him. It wasn't able to be proven, so Barnett isn't going to get sacked, he's free to continue on his career & we can hope that it was all a misunderstanding & Peachey misheard him.

I agree Billy, although if we win this game against Souths, we'll likely play Parra, which I think is also winnable (says a Knights fan).

You can either prove what you say you heard or say nothing ...If you can prove he said it then all well and good and he's gone.. but... If your not 100% sure then say nothing because this is something that can scar and effect a person and his familly for life ...The other thing is if you say he said it and cant prove it isnt that slander and a sueable offence .
Disagree. If it’s a conversation between two people and heard by them only, how do you prove what was said? If each person’s versions differ, only one (or neither) can be accepted as what actually happened.
With that said, if Peachey genuinely believed that comment was made, should Peachey say nothing about it simply because he can’t prove it other than telling what he thought he heard? He and any other player has every right to voice that sort of complaint.
