I think that would be a good outcome for us - free up some $$$ (wonder what, if any we'd need to tip in?) and move on somebody who doesn't really want to be part of the Knights anymore...I hope it happens
 
No way we chip in for Levi in Manly's predicament they literally have no hookers on the books, the people they are talking about playing there are NSW cup halves.

Where did you get he don't want to be part of the Knights anymore ? Asking for a release whilst being coached by Brown don't count.
 
Paying 400k for your reserve grade hooker isn't real smart, and I'm sure Levi wants to be playing firsts somewhere.
 
Look if we paid a $100k heck even a $150k too get back $250k for elsewhere......... Its for 1 year and we are unlikely to use him, in hindsight its money well spent.

Another one like that Lamb that got threw into the mincer too soon and ruined for mine.

Hope he kicks on, on another note watch the 7 minute interview with Watson, what a champion of a young man. Really think he could ace it @ 13.

It wasn't meant in a negative context although I see how it reads that way...

My comment was more related to the fact that Brailey's signing clearly indicated there wasn't a first grade spot here for him and he wouldn't want to be wasting away in NSW Cup...which he said as much in the article.

I don't blame him for likely feeling that way - as a 24 year old he's not interested in copping the cash to play in NSW Cup. He wants and deserves to try and build on his existing NRL first grade (and international) career and I hope he goes well with a fresh chance at the Sea Eagles.
 
Not that I’m bothered, but with Levi on the move and Latrell announcing his leaving the Roosters I wonder if we are a Smokey for him, states he wants to get out of the city. Not sure his relationship with Obi
 
Keeping Levi for next season wouldn’t be bad idea, sure he will be costly as a reserve grader but feel we would be in trouble if Brailey is injured long term and Hugh is still not developed/experienced enough. Randall would be a short time fill in and Watson is much better as utility. This would become more so if we have to pay for him to go, rather pay him to play reserves than pay him to play for Manly.
 
The Knights are only going to pay Levi’s contract payment of January and then they will not pay anything.

I’m happy to be getting rid of Levi, we want players who will follow the game plan and are not disruptive, plus we save $260,000.

I would rather give one of the younger guys a go if Brailey gets injured.
 
Watson was our best 9 last season if Brailey gets injured We wont lose anything with Watson going there .
