This will be a great test for us, Kiwis are ranked second in tests and have not lost a series since 2016/2017 against South Africa

3/212 Aussies slightly in front, Smith gone, time for 5 & 6 to make a score, looking for 350 plus, Labuschagne going very well, he is a surprise package.

There was something about Labuschagne that impressed me when he debuted. His bowling will also improve over time.

For mine our problem seems to be at 5 and 6. Both Matt Wade and Travis Head seem to be able to make a start to an innings and fall to a 'hit and giggle' style of shot. All is well whilst the top order are doing jusat fine thank you very much.

Cummins and Starc batted much better and contributed almost as many runs. Poor Josh Hazelwood breaking down with so many waiting in the wings for just this chance. Marnus only got a gig when Smithy was skittled.

And if this is not one of the best catches ever it must be close:-

Glad didn’t enforce follow on with short a bowler, workload too much, need an alrounder in side. Mini collapse towards end but hopefully can bat most/all first session, 500+ lead, bowlers rested a bit and Kiwis bat under lights

Most of the wickets in this game have fallen in the 3rd session under lights.
It really shows the pick ball thing doesn't work.
If you can get fresh bowlers and a new ball under lights at the opposition, you'll pick up 5 cheap wickets, so it really comes down to who is unlucky enough to have to bat after dark.
If I were setting the tactics, i'd send out night watchmen to just try to block if any wickets fell in the 3rd session, and try to make it through to the next day with a few top order players still standing.

An ok day from the Aussies. Watching hit and giggle and wondering why Jackson bird isn't part of the side. Great bowler.

3-0 to Australia

Marnus got player of the series and player of the match

He was so far ahead in of everyone in this series, In a league of his own
