Latrell..

Paying half of what a house is worth is still paying half its worth brother.

Except they weren’t paying half it’s value. Payed its full value which happened to be approx half the value of a house of similar size in Sydney/Newcastle to a lesser extent. Cry on brother cry on haha.

A lie? I showed you statistical facts in this very thread a couple days ago. Townsville is much cheaper then Sydney and then Newcastle.

Hope something comes along to turn the market around, my missus's family is from there and you have to almost give your house away nowadays.

For a young guy with cash to splash, some smart investments now could really pay off. A mansion for the price of a Sydney apartment sounds like a steal.

(Just gotta keep your cars locked up...)

Yep it’s incredibly cheap. I’m looking to invest in a few properties over the next few years. Townsville will be one place to look at right now. Another mining boom around that area and all of a sudden you’re in business up there.

Townsville would want to be cheaper than Sydney 1st its a **** hole (just personally couldnt stand the place although I love nth qld ) and 2nd it has a crime rate that puts it up there with the worst places in the world . Its mentioned in the same sentence as Bogata and 3 or 4 other places with the highest crime rate in the world .

Do you have statistics to back this up? Presuming it's top 5 as you say, it's up there with places like Johannesburg, Rio de Janeiro, Mexico City and others. Happy to be proven wrong, but the contention that Townsville is among those areas seems absolutely ridiculous.

Places like Port Douglas are beautiful. Cairns on the other hand....... The appeal of Townsville is just not there for me. I love hunting and shooting but I'd steer clear of towny.

It's alright for the footy players because they have the dosh to spend. Local yobbos have not much and the miners......whole different kettle.

We all have a fair idea why crime rates would be up in a place like that.

Kind of off target, but the biggest issue is car theft. It's mostly kids who know they can get away with it.
My missus's friend's parents had both cars nicked on the same night a few weeks back.

But I'm sure Latrell could afford a pretty secure garage for the supercar he'd likely buy...

I have a feeling that Mitchell is just about out of options.
If he has to take a haircut, he said early on that Newcastle was where he wanted to be to be near as possible to family.
The coach has said he is on very good terms with Mitchell, so I'd like to think we could make him a cheeky 400k 1 year offer and hope everyone else drops out.

I'm thinking nah. Why bring him here for a one year run on the cheap, which at the end of he is out the door. How does that help us develop as a team.

Better off putting the time and development in to someone else that is here for more than just a 1 year stay to "be closer to family".

He wants fullback and we have one.

The guy could be great for us for 1 year, or he could destabilise the squad, he could come in and half way through want out, or quit footy altogether.

Pass.

Him and Obi are close, several former team mates here, closer to home.. Out of Sydney.. Could be exactly what Latrell needs.

LOL sounds like Ramien all over again.

Apparently Xerri is blowing up due to the Ramien going back, I'd happily through $500-$600k at him, great human and will be a gun player.

Player agent accepts low balled offer because a club had great vision and foresight in a players abilities only for that exact same agent to orchestrate a break out from that very contract through other excuses through the media. Funny stuff.

As Adam Sandler in Mr Deeds as the New York Jets owner said to his QB. ‘You want more money because you’re playing better, but if you’re playing poorer can we pay you less?’

Read it on the news on line that wasn't murder rate it was break and enter stealing car theft that sort of thing .
