2020 Pre Season and Trial Games

Has anyone else got concerns about the number of long term injuries to our up and coming players, Fermor, Best, To’a, Crossland and others in u20’s. Is it a maturing thing with growth spurts etc and putting additional strain on body with tracing and gym work, just seems a lot.

Best has shown he will be up for FG physically next season but I don’t think he has shown anything special thus far in FG. Looked solid but didn’t do anything that made you get up and take notice. Granted he is young and senior players threw the que in the rack around him.

Just might want to tone down the hype on a junior and getting too high expectations based on Billy’s input. He likes to over emphasis the quality of juniors which lead to high expectations and disappointments over the last few years.

He's been picked in every junior Blues and Kangaroos side he's been eligible for, and generally been a year or 2 younger than the rest of the squads. Billy has nothing to do with people being excited about Bradman.

So to has other he has wrapped up. Clydesdale being the next Smith etc.

Just saying I’d limit the expectation on the kid for next season.

From what I’ve seen he don’t look athletic enough to be a seasoned NRL centre. Can see him moving into the back row in no time.

Fair call. But Billy’s “exaggerations” are always equally met by your pessimist so maybe we can just judge him off past and current performance and the representative teams he’s made so far. God I love balance.

Come on brother. Have a day off.

Live and die by the sword or in this case calls you make on your favourite juniors coming through. Sadly for Billy he hasn’t had a good strike rate of recent seasons.

I think the point you’re missing in your attack Billy crusade is the fact that other fans both on and off this forum have seen enough first hand of Best to get excited. Plus they’re also aware of the facts that he’s destroyed most junior rep teams. Not withstanding he is unproven in FG, his age, past and statistics are all something to get excited about. Regardless of what Billy said. Poor Billy.

If making all the junior rep sides proved you are an exceptional talent we'd have 20 or 30 exceptional talents at the club.

I'm going to see how these kids go in first grade before proclaiming them the next superstar.

The most exciting thing is we have solid junior prospects coming through, and an incoming coach who is well-regarded for his efforts in developing players. It may all be only potential and when he comes here, it doesn't pan out. That said, it's been a tough year Knights-wise so it's nice to have something to look forward to.

I think we are resting them when they have even the slightest injury.
Best spent half this season on the sideline with a slight hamstring strain etc etc.
I think it's fair to look after them as best we can at that age.

Exactly my point. Expectations have been unfairly placed on numerous juniors the last few years with none kicking on anywhere near the heights placed on them. Whether it be from Bennett and his call on Sione or Billy and his over exaggerations on here.

I assume that halfwit troll is having a go at me, as usual.
I've had him on ignore for about 5 years, and didn't reply to a single post of his for years before that - and as I do once a year or so - I'd like to say the moderators and administrators on this site are gutless and morally bankrupt to allow this to go on forever.
The guy is a lunatic, and that's his problem, but allowing him to spend his life trolling me has impact on me, and is down to you - the gutless moderators who assure me that all I have to do is click ignore and it's all sorted.
I honestly don't know why I bother with this site.
When I don't get my nose rubbed in the fact that an idiot spends his life trolling me, I can just not think about it, but when it becomes clear that the moderators continue to let this happen. I feel like you can all go to hell.

Doesn't look athletic enough? You really are retarded. Isn't every footballer an athlete.........

If you’re to simple to realise the different levels of athleticism required between backs and forwards then there really is no point in trying to help you.

You’ve just been spoiled in the centre department with the likes of Kane Linnett, Javid Bowen, Coen Hess and Tom Opacic. Not all of them can be that amazing.
