He was worth the upgrade, but I suspect that maybe it was more that that increase was Sio's agent prying for more in his own pocket than for Sio himself. We haven't had great runs with player agents. Sio's agent was whining to the media that it wasn't much more and the club should meet the price. As much as I am a Sio fan, I'm happy the club told the agent to p**s off.

He wanted more money to be a depth player and was letting in as many tries as he scored during his time here. If we gave every one who was a depth player 30k extra or whatever it adds up when you are account for a team of 20-30 players.

I didn't think he deserved and upgrade at the time and many on here thought the same, based off the players at the time we were likely and having bought in. Not sure why his defensive deficiencies isn't a fair argument either. Because people on here were equally as frustrated at all the tries he was letting in. And the club got it right saying no.
