A huge positive is Best has put himself in the frame to be their somewhere next year. Re-sign Hunt and SKD that's our outside backs set next year.

Lino has to be given a preseason at fullback with the enforcement he will be our 6, kid can play.

1. Ponga.
2. SKD.
3. Best.
4. Hunt.
5. Lee.
I tried to tell everyone all along the kid was good but kept getting shot down Leave Lino at 6 Pearce at 7 Ponga at 1 and Watson and Brailey at 9 for the whole preseason and all of next season those are there best positions so letsleave them there .

Best has always had a decent passing game, but he hardly ever used it in juniors because he rarely had to. He was nearly always the best guy to run the ball anyway.

It's still nearly impossible to say where he'll end up, but big, strong, fast and skilful are all good starting points for a growing boy.

Looks like a nightmare to tackle, he already looks like a 30 year old lol, and built like a brick you know what.

Don't discount Moga though if he has an injury free preseason he can be a beast in attack and defence .

He needs regain some speed, he was well off the pace when he came back to firsts this year, struggled to slide across in cover fast enough.

Toa is smaller and not as strong as best, but he has a step like Ponga and speed off the mark like Watson - and he's not exactly small, about Hunt sized.
I think it's a great debate for the future - who is better - Toa or Best - They both played centre and fullback on the schoolboys tour and I don't think the coach could decide who was better - both scored a heap of tries.

My recollection was the schoolboy team seemed to function better when Toa was fb and Best in the centres. Don't know if that is a pointer going forward.

If you watch the Lino intercept its not the intercept or the break and try that impressed me about that but the amount of ground Lino covered to get back there to intercept the ball 30 or 40m at full pelt to get there that's good footy .

Then 50m in the opposite direction, no doubt all on Adrenalin. I like the fact he got back in cover but didn't run straight to where the ball was, he ran back and plugged a whole where he figured the ball would be going and got himself in position perfectly to shut down the play. As it turned out he grabbed the intercept and we scored.

Mann should not be seen at 5/8 again and I don't see much of a place for him in the starting squad next year at all to be honest, barring injury.

I don't think Linos attack has ever been questioned. It's easy to look good against the team coming last. It's about how his defence is against actually competitive oppositions.

Yes if they all play to the best of there ability I don't think Mann will get a spot either . Its nice to have 2 halfbacks playing on either side of the field.
I don't really have a problem with his defence it wasn't great when he was at the warriors but it is definatly better now and he will keep improving don't forget he has only played 28 first grade games its not like he's an old hand yet.
I would bet that most of or a lot of his missed tackles are when he or Pearce bombs and Lino is the first one there a lot , he may miss the tackle but he always stops them or stops there momentum long enough for the troops too arrive .
Oh and looking at it again he ran closer to 25 meters than 40 I was a little over enthusiastic but still a great effort .
